Nikon CoolPix L19 and L20

Are Nikon's new AA-powered snappers a little bit too easy to use?

The L20 is quite a large camera by compact standards, measuring 96.5 x 61 x 29 mm, although at 185g including batteries and memory card it's lighter than it looks. The L19 is 5g lighter, probably on account of the smaller monitor. The camera has a...

Nikon Coolpix L20 review

Nikon's Coolpix L20 represents one of the best options we've seen in a growing category of cameras: very affordable, easy-to-use point-and-shoots with surprisingly stellar image quality and a bit of fashion sense.

All in all, the Nikon Coolpix L20 is a very affordable camera that performed very well in our image tests. For value, ease of use, and eye-catching looks, it's one of the best bargain point-and-shoots we've seen so far in 2009. Don't expect the manual...

Nikon Coolpix L20

With 10.0 megapixels, you will be able to take high quality photos of stunning quality. Prints can be made up to 16 by 20 inches, while still keeping the sharpness. Most low cost cameras only have 6 or 8 megapixels, which will not only produce lower...

Nikon Coolpix L20 review

Nikon's Coolpix L20 proves very a affordable, easy-to-use point-and-shoots with surprisingly stellar image quality.

Very good image quality; easy to use; 3-inch LCD

A bit bulky; no manual ISO controls

Nikon’s Coolpix L20 is a great representative of a growing category of cameras: very affordable, easy-to-use point-and-shoots with surprisingly stellar image quality and a bit of fashion sense. The Coolpix L20 clocks in at around £118, but its image...

Nikon Coolpix L20

This camera is likely to appeal to anyone looking for a cheaper digital camera that is very easy to operate. It can take a good picture and looking at its price tag it is good value for money.

Ease of use - colours - picture quality

Darkness can creep into corners when the lens is zoomed out

If you are looking for a cheaper digital camera that takes a good picture and is extremely easy to use then you cannot go far wrong with the Nikon Coolpix L20.

Nikon COOLPIX L20

The L20 budget model from Nikon's COOLPIX brand may save consumers a few pennies, but does that make it value for money?

An average-at-best budget point-and-shoot that falls victim to motion blur and offers little in the way of exciting features or progressive handling.

Nikon Coolpix L20

Its design is simple, sharp and best suited for outdoor use. This Nikon Coolpix has a large screen and a 3.6x optical zoom.

Good performance outdoors ; Extremely easy to use ; Big 3-inch screen ; 3.6x optical zoom ; Good pricing

Poor low light performance ; Quite limited features

With a large 3-inch screen and a 3.6x optical zoom this would have been an able competitor to models ranked higher in our charts, if only its overall performance was a notch or two higher. Its dedicated button for cycling through Auto, Movie mode and...
