Olympus D-720

I bought this camera for my daughter for Christmas 2011 and she is thrilled with it. Takes great pictures indoors and out. Fantastic zoom facility and good size screen. She is so pleased with it, I am thinking of purchasing one for myself.

battery doesn't stay charged for long, especially with shooting videos

Great picture and clear 3"screen. Lightweight, and as bought in sale a real bargain.

Image quality. Ease of use. Very light.

Battery life could be a problem if away from a charging source. Might have to carry a spare charged battery. Flash not very bright.

Pocket sized but with high megapixels. Good range of zoom to wide-angle. Compares well with my Olympus D-SLR and is ideal when I do not want to carry so much gear.

Lead is very short to link with battery charger & computor. As yet I have not found a way to display memory used.

No manual control setup The control panel is a little cramped-too easy to hit the video button by mistake

It preforms very well for such a small camera and has most of the features that my larger Olympus has. The optical zoom is by far its biggest asset.

I'm not sure i could justify paying its RRP as i got this in the currys sale for less than half price. It does also feel a little cheap which i would not expect of such an expensive compact.
