Olympus FE-210 review

Olympus's entry-level digital camera makes a good first impression thanks to its 2.5in screen and straightforward controls.

Olympus FE-210

Available online for less than £100, Olympus' FE-210 is the least expensive of the budget offerings we've looked at recently. And there's very little to give away this budget price tag in its exterior, with its sleek styling and robust plastic...

This lack of manual overrides notwithstanding, the Olympus proves quite a nifty performer, and it's a bargain at less than £100. If your budget stretches only to £90, this may be the snapper for you.

Olympus FE-210

The Olympus FE-210 is aimed fairly and squarely at people on a budget. This is one of the cheapest cameras you will find by a known brand. It is a simple, easy to use digital camera with seven megapixels and a three times optical zoom lens.

Design ; Ease of use

Indoor lowlight photos ; Shutter delay ; Minimal memory

Although the Olympus FE-210 is relatively inexpensive I would not say it offered good value for money. It struggles indoors and also suffers from shutter lag. If you can squeeze a few more pounds into your budget you can find a better camera.

Olympus FE-210 review

Sometimes you just don't want to agonize over whether you should choose the soup or the salad, the Coke or the Pepsi, the PC or the Mac. Olympus realizes just how hard choices can be, which is why it makes the FE series of digital cameras. They're...

Extremely simple to use.

Shoddy incandescent white balance and complete automation mean severely yellow indoor photos; soft images; sluggish performance.

With poor indoor white balance, soft images, and sluggish performance, it's best to give this camera a pass.

Extremely simple to use

Shoddy incandescent white balance and complete automation mean severely yellow indoor photos ; Soft images ; Sluggish performance

The Olympus FE-210 is a compact, inexpensive little camera that tries to be foolproof. Unfortunately, its completely automated modes, disappointing white balance, and mediocre image quality mean all of your non-flash indoor shots will come out soft,...

Olympus FE-210 Digital Camera Full Review

The Olympus FE-210 is the most entry level of Olympus' four new entry level FE digital cameras.  It still packs in 7.1 megapixel resolution, 3x optical zoom, and a 2.5 inch LCD.  Plenty of built-in help features – a guide menu system and plenty of...
