Olympus Stylus 720 SW

Waterproof up to 10 feet; shock-resistant to drops and mild impact; easily pocketable; better-than-average outdoor image quality with impressive detail.

Few manual controls; cumbersome interface; low-light images prone to visual noise.

For those who need a tough, waterproof, and ultracompact digital camera, the Olympus Stylus 720 SW's strengths outweigh some frustrating usability issues.

Olympus MJU 720SW

 

Weatherproof to a depth of 3m and also shockproof if you drop it from 1.5m the Olympus MJU 720SW is somewhat less delicate than the majority of digital cameras out there. Worth a close look if you are looking for a camera to take to the beach.

Drop it or soak it, the Stylus 720 SW point-and-shoot keeps on clicking.

Very good picture quality—underwater and above ground. Both waterproof and shock-resistant.

Slow recycle time. Some shutter lag. Pricey. Choppy video with tinny sound.
