Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS33 compact camera

Available with red, silver or sober black bodywork, from the front the 14.1-megapixel Lumix DMC-FS33 resembles your regular point and shoot pocket compact, and to an extent from the back it does too. However, turn the slender camera on via the top...

Decent build quality, broader than average focal range within pocket sized dimensions widens creative scope, relatively easy to use and reliable with it, relatively swift and responsive in operation

Occasional colour cast issues; the bet-hedging mix of physical buttons and virtual ones requires a period of familiarisation

The 14-megapixel Panasonic DMC-FS33 ticks most of the boxes for the latest must haves, making it a relatively future proof option for anyone looking for a broader than average focal range within pocket camera dimensions, a high still image resolution...

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS33 review

A big zoom for a small price, is the Panasonic Lumix FS33 the compact camera you're looking for?

Fast start-up time ; Good image quality ; 8x optical zoom ; 720p video recording

Touchscreen needs firm touch ; Minimal controls ; Lack of creative filters

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS33 isn't the sleekest or lightest compact camera for its price range, but given that its housing an 8x optical zoom within its body (and of course it's still perfectly pocketable) we can forgive that small misgiving.

Looks great on paper with its touchscreen and 8x zoom, but a surprising number of flaws add up to a disappointing camera

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS33 Review

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS33 (also known as the DMC-FH22) is a slim and stylish digital camera with a versatile 8x, 28-224mm optical zoom lens. The FS33 also features a 3 inch touch-sensitive screen combined with four major operation buttons and can...

At times it seems like - despite the imagined 'killer' threat from the camera phone - digital snapshots are not only still needlessly plentiful, but also nigh indistinguishable, blurring into one multi-coloured mass. At first glance Panasonic's Lumix...

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS33

Very easy to use and the touch screen facilities work great. Picture quality is very good and the 8x zoom is an added bonus compared to similar products

It does not come with a carry case!
