Panasonic Lumix GF5

The GF5 is Panasonic's best entry-level G-series compact system camera to date.

Excellent image quality ; Easy to use with touch-screen control ; Good range of on-board digital filters ; More comfortable to hold thanks to addition of finger grip ; High-resolution 3in, 921k-dot LCD monitor

Lack of hotshoe limits flash/accessory options

Movie capabilities remain the same as the GF3, with a top recording setting of 1080p Full HD with stereo sound but not external microphone input. High definition movies can be recorded in a range of AVCHD quality formats, with a further option to...

Compact body, grip, display, fast autofocus, plenty of shooting options

Panasonic’s LUMIX GF5 completes the GF-series’ transition from compact enthusiast to super-compact point-and-shoot mirrorless camera. It’s simple, newbie-friendly, and seriously small -- but anyone looking for manual control should opt for the GX1...

Impressively small and light, but the slim lens raises the price too much for what is ultimately a point-and-shoot camera

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF5 review

Although Panasonic has made just a handful of changes to the Lumix DMC-GF5 over the GF3, they are improvements. However, the changes aren't significant enough to warrant GF3 users to upgrade their camera. While higher-resolution compact system cameras...
