PanasonicLumix DMCLZ2

This camera may be weighty but it sets itself apart with a 6x zoom ' equivalent to a 222mm telephoto on a film camera

Whopping 6x optical zoom. First rate picture quality. Runs on AAs so easy to get emergency power.

Piddling 85,000 pixel LCD. Not the slimmest or lightest on the market.

This camera may be weighty but it sets itself apart with a 6x zoom – equivalent to a 222mm telephoto on a film camera

At 178g, this is a heavy weight: it’s not a slip in your handbag on a Friday night number.

Panasonic DMC LZ2

Panasonic DMC LZ2 Review. Simple and easy to use. This digital camera has a longer than standard 6x optical zoom lens. Taking into account the length of the ens it is relatively inexpensive.

Ease of use ; Outdoor picture quality ; Longer optical zoom ; Layout and design

No viewfinder

The Panasonic DMC LZ2 offers something different. This is a point and shoot camera with a zoom lens twice the length of a standard size lens. The camera produces very sharp images and is also very easy to use indeed.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ2

This is an unusual camera that's a cut above the rest of the mid-range compact market. Admittedly, its a bit short on features and suffers from bad noise problems at high ISO settings, but the long, versatile zoom lens makes up for it

An average camera that produces some nice shots, but is marred by minor problems.

Great colour, unlimited continuous shot, 6X zoom

Irritating load times, bad image writing lag outdoors, ordinary build

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ review

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ

Optical image stabilization; solid image quality; versatile burst modes; simple operation.

Few manual settings; low-res movie mode.

Image stabilization, a 6X zoom lens, and solid image quality make the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ2K a versatile snapshot camera.

The Panasonic LZ2 promises a lot for under $300, and in the most part it doesn't disappoint.
