Samsung Digimax V50

With a five megapixel sensor, full manual shutter and aperture setting capability and a generous two inch swing-out and tilt colour LCD screen, the Samsung Digimax V50 is a camera that provides higher than average creative control features. Samsung has...

As the V50's settings can be tightly controlled, if you are willing to make use of them, the camera will certainly reward its owner. Some of the default settings do mean the camera can end up slightly over-exposing and images can look over-sharpened....

Overall a solid camera, if not one that truly stands out from the crowd.

Well built, swivel screen, two power sources, two forms of memory support

There are a whole bunch of cameras in that category (well, minus the rotating LCD) and competition is fierce. How does the V50 hold up? Find out now in our review

Lots of features for a low price ; Flip-out, rotating 2-inch LCD display ; Plenty of manual controls ; AF-assist lamp (though it does little good) ; Low redeye ; Supports conversion lenses ; Can save favorite settings to spot on mode dial ; Dual memory...

Photos often had noticeably inaccurate color ; Slow autofocus speeds, major shutter lag ; Poorly designed/placed jog dial (in my opinion) ; LCD unusable in low light conditions ; Despite AF-assist lamp, poor low light focusing ; Weak flash ; No Mac...

Bottom line: you can do better than the Digimax V50. See below for some suggestions.

Samsung Digimax V50 Digital Camera Review

The quality of the 5 megapixel capture is great, which for most will not be appreciated until you enlarge a print up to 8x10 inches and find the image is still sharp
