Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-G1 Digital Camera Review

Let your photos shine with the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-G1 digital camera. The Cyber-shot G1 offers everything you'd want and expect from a digital camera .. and more! Features include a substantial 2GB internal memory, large 3.5-inch Xtra fine LCD screen,...

To finish off the Cyber-shot G1, Sony has also included an MP3 player function so you can set your photos to your own preferred music; you can also shoot MPEG-4 movies (with sound). The generous 2GB internal memory allows enough capacity for an...

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-G1 review: Sony Cyber-shot DSC-G1

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-G1

Nice photos and performance; big LCD display; usable as an MP3 player.

Awkward, occasionally frustrating design; eccentric Wi-Fi feature set.

An overpriced, overweight, and oddball camera, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-G1 takes decent photos, but its ancillary features--Wi-Fi and MP3 playback--aren't usefully implemented.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-G1

The Cyber-shot G1 is a fancy camera that throws in a few tricks that few cameras have included.

Fancy use of Wi-Fi connectivity ; 2GB built-in memory ; Interesting tagging functions ; Decent image quality ; 3.5-inch screen

Weighty for a point-and-shoot ; So-so audio ; Too small buttons

For a test of its image quality, we took the G1 out. The auto white balance did a good job; even in a tungsten-lit environment, it did fairly well, although, it's a bit of a stinker that the G1 does not have manual white balance settings. We detected...

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-G1 Review

The first and main thing that strikes you about the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-G1 is the enormous 3.5 inch LCD screen on the rear of the camera. Sony have cleverly made the screen the...

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-G1 is a brave but ultimately flawed attempt to combine a camera, music player, image viewer, wi-fi and storage device into one product. It undoubtedly has the best LCD ...

Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-G1

Size, image, battery life, charging, downloading

Too many fiddly buttons and it is too easy to catch other buttons when trying to use one-handed, especially with gloved fingers in the cold. Hard to delete photos

Outstanding Camera

What you'll first notice about this camera when you set your eyes upon it, will be the screen (at least it was the case for me). Not only is the screen VERY large for a camera of this size, but it is the best looking screen I have yet seen (if you own...

Large, beautiful screen and menus (the menus are like those of the PSP)! Easy to use; just point and shoot. Solid buttons and shell. Dockable station (known as "Cyber-Shot Station). Still pocketable though a bit on the heavy side. TWO gigabytes of...

Picture quality (also does not perform well under low light conditions, though options are available). Only 6 Mega pixels and very noisy pictures at ISO 1000 (max. ISO). Price
