Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-H20 review

The H20's plastic body is the largest and heaviest in this lab test, but not by a huge amount.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H20 review

We'd prefer a wide-angle lens, but if you want to shoot wildlife but not buildings and sweeping vistas, this lens has an advantage, and the camera is up to scratch.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H20

Great handling rather than a fist full of features make this super-zoom a good choice

A great value camera with enough features to cope with a variety of subjects. But the main strength of the H20 is it's handling, which is first rate.

720p video mode, 10x zoom

Screen views poorly pre-shot, poor battery life, lens ought to be a wider angle, high ISO quality

The Sony Cyber-shot H20 is a solid performer of a superzoom compact. Whilst it perhaps lacks the wide angle lens of its competitors, it does pepper other features generously. Face Detection options, Optical SteadyShot, HD 720p movie recording, and a...

Sony DSC H20

This is a neat, compact digital camera offering extra zoom. Picture quality is good and the movie mode is advanced too. I like the design of the camera and there is a manual exposure mode as well.

Extra zoom at lower resolutions - HD movies with zoom and stereo sound - compact design - 3 inch LCD screen

Not much memory to get you started

The Sony Cybershot DSC H20 gets most things right. There is plenty of competition, but this camera provides a reliable alternative to models from Panasonic and Canon.

Sony Cyber-shot H20 review

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H20 is a 10 megapixel compact camera poised at the superzoom end of the market. It's 10x optical zoom provides ample focal length for picking off subjects from afar, although with only 38mm of coverage at its widest point...

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H20 review

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H20 is another great camera in the company's 2009 point-and-shoot lineup. It seems as if Sony took its equally excellent W290 compact camera and expanded it into a megazoom. It has a new menu system that makes operation easier,...

First-rate design; simple operation; excellent feature-to-price ratio.

Narrow lens; lens cap is a pain.

If you don't mind its extra bulk and narrow lens, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H20 is an otherwise excellent compact megazoom camera.
