Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T5

Sony's DSC-T5 is slim and perfectly formed, but is beauty really only skin deep?

Sony Cyber-shot DSC T5 digital camera

At 15.3mm thin, ultra-compacts don't come much thinner than the Sony Cyber-shot DSC T5 a supremely pocketable 5.1 megapixel digital camera that will really turn heads towards the lens.

Good image quality, metering and AF, styling, well made

No optical viewfinder, slow menus, basic controls, noticeable noise at higher ISOs, seems a tad pricey

The 5.1-megapixel resolution T5 provides enough detail for large prints, even up to A3, meaning if all you need is a small, eminently pocketable digital camera with basic controls but oodles of ‘wow!' factor as standard, then this a digital camera that...

Sony Cyber Shot DSC-T5 review

Sony Cyber Shot DSC-T5

Sleek, sexy design; easy to use; large and clear LCD; solid snapshot feature set; high-quality movie mode; improved flash coverage; built-in tripod socket; decent battery life for a small cell; comes in four colors.

Mediocre image quality; high visual noise levels above ISO 100.

Although the Sony Cyber Shot DSC-T5 features improvements over its T7 sibling, as well as much better value, its image quality still doesn't match the camera's other attributes.

Sony DSC T5

Sony DSC T5 Review and Where to Find the Best Prices. This is not one of the cheaper pocket sized digital camera, but for the extra money you do get a top quality camera. This one has five megapixels and a three times zoom lens.

Picture quality ; Design ; Low shutter lag times

Red eye on indoor portraits ; Short flash range

The Sony DSC T5 is one of the best ultra compact models I have reviewed. I like the picture quality and shutter lag is more or less non existent. It is also very easy to use.

Review: Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T5

A short time getting acquainted with the T5 is all that's need to discover that sometimes bigger is better.

Style, small size without being too fiddly

Flash distance and coverage ; Have to remove the battery to charge it

A quick browse on the Internet shows a wide variety of prices for this model so it's worth digging around for the best price. It's not going to take the finest quality pictures, but for that you need to be looking at a much larger, more expensive...

Review of the Sony Cyber-shot T5 - Digital SLR Reviews

The T5 looks very cute with its chamfered edge, lightweight all-metal construction with both shiny and brushed metal highlights.
