Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX200V review

Editors' note: Several of the design, features, and shooting options are identical between the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX200V and the Cyber-shot TX66 we reviewed earlier, so readers of the earlier review may experience some deja vu when reading the same...

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX200V is a powerful and relatively fast-performing ultracompact camera capable of taking some high-quality snapshots and movie clips.

The TX200V is very expensive and its body collects fingerprints and the door covering its battery and ports seems insubstantial given its waterproofing.

If you're looking for the ultimate ultracompact point-and-shoot, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX200V is probably it. Too bad its price tag is ridiculously high.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX200V Review

This is a very good go-everywhere camera for people who want a slick point-and-shoot that takes good photos and superior videos, but please don't spend anywhere near list.

This is a very good go-everywhere camera for its intended audience: people who want a slick point-and-shoot that takes good photos and superior videos. With its limited adjustments, this is not for photo geeks. That said, we really like the touchscreen...

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX200V

This camera literally has every feature the style-conscious automatic user could want. You wont find manual modes here, but every other specification is essentially the best on the point-and-shoot market. The imaging is based on an 18.2 megapixel...

Best compact camera on the market in April-May 2012

Great pictures, the exmor s censor is incredible when it reduces the noises in the pictures, the zoom is excellent, the gps is quick, the design is superb

Short battery life ( If you buy it in Hk, like me, you can have a free battery with the original one), the lack of button for changing underwater from video mode to photo mode, the gps doesn't work in the water

COOLEST SOCCER MOM CAMERA EVER!

I have been a Sony digital camera owner since they made those Digital Mavica floppy-disk cameras. I update to a new model just about every other year.

FLAT FRONT-easy to wipe with a cloth, no slide-cover on front anymore

teeny tiny connections inside camera, micro-sd slot hard to access
