Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W300 digital camera

The W300 is a svelte and stylish snapper from Sony; its titanium, scratch resistant bodywork has a good heft (though it's a pity the scratch resistant coating did not extend to the screen, which arrived already scratched from previous reviewers), as...

Features, styling, build, ease of use, handling, low ISO image quality, optical viewfinder

Small buttons, high ISO image quality, slow image processing and menu navigation

Overall then, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W300 provides a robust and scratch free snapping environment thanks to its superb build. Handing is on the twee side as the camera controls are small but you do get an optical viewfinder, always a bonus in these...

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W300 review

Sony's Cyber-shot DSC-W300 is a pocket-sized camera that offers one of best balances of size, performance and ease-of-use we've seen.

A great image stabalisation system and offer of full manual overide are useful features on top of the excellent picture quality. It's not without flaws, but overall the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W300 is a cracking little camera.

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W300 doesn't just look the part, it takes extremely good photos too!

Incredibly simple operation gives highly impressive results. Jaw-dropping looks

The 3x zoom can't match the sheer power of the 13MP sensor

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W300

Sleek, titanium-finished point-and-shoot with 13.6 effective megapixels plus Carl Zeiss lens suggests more than a pretty fascia

With a battle-ready build quality and high resolution suggesting the W300 as a camera you'll still be using three years hence, substance declares a draw with style

Sony DSC W300

The Sony DSC W300 is a 13.6 megapixel digital camera with a 3x optical zoom lens. It has more features than a standard point and shoot camera, takes a decent photo and is relatively easy to use. Sony has included a viewfinder with the DSC W300.

Ease of use - price tag - viewfinder

Some of the photos are darker than I would like to see - very small internal memory

"There are plenty of megapixels and also extra features compared to other similar digital cameras. Picture quality just falls short of being top drawer, but if you are looking for megapixels and features to play with this is well worth closer inspection."
