Hauppauge HD PVR

The Hauppauge HD PVR is a personal video recorder, but not in the traditional sense.

On a brighter note, however, the inclusion of Arcsoft's TotalMediaExtreme software suite, which comprises video capture, playback and disc authoring and burning, is far more useful. Also included in this software collection is a media converter,...

Hauppauge HD PVR Gaming Edition Review

If you own an Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 console then today's review product might raise an eyebrow. If you own an Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 console then today's review product might raise an eyebrow. Have you ever wanted to share video content...

Looks really well.

It costs as much as the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3.

Kitguru says: One of their best products, but it is expensive.

Hauppauge HD PVR

The Hauppauge HD PVR lets you make high-quality, high-definition recordings, and can even burn regular DVDs for Blu-ray players.

Records HD programming without copy protection concerns (via the "analog hole"). Burns Blu-ray-compatible, high-definition DVDs. High-quality audio and component video cables included.

Doesn't function as a standalone DVR. Complex setup involves multiple software packages. Remote is nonfunctional with bundled software.

The DVD burning portion of the software offers a nice assortment of design themes and menu layouts for each production. The Utilities section, meanwhile, contains ArcSoft MediaConverter, which lets you target specific devices for transcoding video...

Hauppauge HD PVR Review

Simple connections; easy to use software; very good image quality

Generational loss in video quality; relies on the “analog hole,” which might be plugged someday

Other than that, the Hauppauge HD PVR is a great piece of hardware for recording high-definition video, and it’s dead simple to use.

Review: Hauppauge HD PVR

Hauppauge makes a simple HD recording box

Good video quality ; Integrates with many third-party apps ; Capable remote

ArcSoft software okay, but unexceptional ; IR blaster slightly tricky to set up

Hardware and setupWhile the front of the HD PVR has a set of RCA and S-Video inputs , the real connectivity for the HD PVR is in the back. The front panel connections are intended for occasional use with video cameras or VCRs. The back side of

Hauppauge HD-PVR - Bjorn3D.com

The old argument of why would you need to replace the heatsink on your video card, is a long and perilous argument. There are still people out there that thinks that they should not have to purchase an aftermarket GPU cooler for their video card(s)....

The Hauppauge HD PVR is a perfect candidate for anyone who wants a versatile HD recorder that also wants to record from multiple devices.

Great Quality - No Streaming (Gaming)

When the Hauppauge HD PVR originally came out it wasn't fully intended for gaming useage, however the majority of customers, myself included, have purchased this for gaming purposes. I purchased mine for around £160 about a year ago, it's obviously...
