it does not say that it can stream media from a pc to the device, that would be the main reason for having a LAN port, to gain extra storage and play video that is already in our libraries.

Good picture, good sound apart from the synch and not expensive

The lip synch - sound and vision synchronisation - s out on my model. I have tried contacting the seller whose English was not too good but I got he impression that it was a known fault and I was refered to Shinco who have not replied. I was hoping for...

While its cheap offering price is enticing, issues with the physical design and build quality make the Shinco SDP-1720A a less than appealing portable DVD option.
