Very easy to use the hard drive and the DVD. Good amount of storage and brilliant to be able to watch one something that has been recorded and to record something else at the same time.

Not intuitive as to how to stop recordings that have already started. Not as straightforward as it could be to record a program that has already started.

view program whilst it's recording - so if a phone call disturbs it you can pick it up where it left off. Fairly easy to operate.

More difficult operations aren't that well explained in the manual.

this recorder does everything that it is supposed to do very efficiently and did not take me too long to master the controls
