Whopping 250GB hard drive holds up to 32 hours of HD programming. Supports remote scheduling via the web. Backlit remote control for easy channel surfing in the dark. Parent-friendly KidZone keeps the tykes away from racy content

Crazy expensive, and that’s not counting the monthly fee. Requires a digital antenna or CableCard decoder for dual-tuner use. Doesn’t support TiVoToGo or multi-room viewing

The Elph Goes Digital

Dual-tuner HD recorder. Updated remote now fully backlit. Very easy to use.

The TiVo Series3 is a solid, dual-tuning HD recorder that can be used with off-air and cable sources, but this early version is expensive and its menus are not completely optimized for HD displays.

TiVo 320 Media Device

Friendly and easy to use. Excellent picture quality. Powerful and intelligent recording options. Remote scheduling. No monthly fees. 320GB hard drive.

No cable recording. Networking package only included for a limited time.

The TiVo 320 Media Device has received a little storage bump, and despite competition from Sony's PlayTV it is still one of the best value-for-money PVRs on the market.

Best DVR

The reviewer expecting 1080p on a DVR is unrealistic. There is no advantage to 1080p when the broadcast source is 1080i. There are no broadcast sources delivering 1080p today.

Best DVR on the market. Hi-Def picture and sound. THX certified and integrates with Crestron. Front panel OLED is useful and cool.

Expensive but worth it! Interface could be quicker and slicker. The interface is essentially the same experience as older models.
