Sony Reader (PRS-T3)

In and of itself, the Sony PRS-T3 is a perfectly serviceable e-reader, but the reading experience doesn't stack up against the competition.

Compact ; Excellent screen contrast ; Case snaps neatly on ; Overdrive (library) integration ; PDF reflow ; Page-flipping bug fixed

Case-light not as good as back-light ; Pricy once light case is factored in ; Page-turning gestures clunky

There's a lot to like about the Sony PRS-T3. Its compact size and integrated cover feel comfortable in the hand, and its library support is useful. Overall, however, we found the user experience not quite up to the standard set by Amazon and Kobo. If...

Just what I've been waiting for.

It was time to supplement my trusty and well-read Cybook Opus with a new ebook reader. I'd been looking for one that was as compact and light as the Opus, but would also meet the following requirements: ability to download Adobe DRM-protected Council...

Installing the cover with light was tricky. Authorizing the Reader was so complicated that I almost gave up (but I'm glad I kept at it until I succeeded).
