Mario Kart Double Dash (GameCube) review

Spend Your Cash On Double Dash??

Why an 8.7 you may ask, well in all honesty it technically is still the same game as the 1992 version. Yes, I know they have added 2 players per kart and tweaked a bit here a there and added a few features! But is this enough?….To some people and I...

Mario Kart: Double Dash!!

To the many of you who have been around the gaming block once or twice, think about the obscure genre of kart racing. Nintendo introduced this platform back on the SNES and subsequently the genre has exploded. If you've been involved with gaming...

As mentioned, the unlockables really make this a sound purchase and any fan of the series would be pleased with this release. However, many will probably over-criticize the game because they still want the same feeling they received from the...

Mario Kart: Double Dash

Mario Kart: Double Dash blends both new and old alike in order to create a solid, eye-appealing racing game that is sure to be enjoyed by all, despite its short length and lack of online play.

Beautiful graphics and sound, a blast to play

Short, similar to all other Mario Kart games

For the Cutesy NASCAR in All of Us

While on vacation in Virginia Beach, my buddy Juliet picked up the title at a local game shop. I gravitated to it fairly quickly since I had done quite a bit of kart racing on the Super Nintendo title.

fun racing experience, wonderful environments, fast-paced play, gameplay

surges in AI difficulty, emphasis on items

Mario Kart: Double Dash!! ? Forget NASCAR, I?ve Got Mario Kart (Nintendo W/O)

The Mario Kart series is one of Nintendo's most popular franchises. Following the success of Mario Kart for the SNES and Mario Kart 64 for the Nintendo 64, Nintendo promised to release a new installment that would improve upon its predecessors and...

20 characters, colorful graphics, new gameplay elements, loads of multi-player fun

short single-player, only 16 tracks, small and bland battle arenas

Game Cube meets Mario Kart -- Guess somebody's gotta do this eventually...

Not since Super Mario Kart's smashing debut in 1993 have they managed to match it. They've had a hell of a time keeping up with the phenomenon they started. Granted, the presence of the initial phenomenon is what makes the two sequels great, but beyond...

Excellent graphics! Lots of characters, some interesting Karts to unlock

Too much emphasis on the items. Not much of a deviation from previous installments

Double The Fun!!!

Yes, I know, you all thought I was dead. Well anyway, I've finally gotten around to writing a review for the latest installment of one of my favorite series ever, the Mario Kart series.

Two characters, great levels, lots of characters

No online play, repetitive

Not a Double Dash Past Mario Kart 64, But Still Fun

I had fairly high expectations for Mario Kart: Double Dash and after playing the game quite extensively so far I can say that most of my expectations have been met but not all.

The ability to change drivers, more battle modes, good multiplayer

Characters still cheat, can't hop around corners, game requires stuff to be unlocked
