Review: The Garmin Forerunner 970 is the follow-up to the brand's running and multisports watch, and it seeks to build on the Forerunner 965.

Screen is nice and bright ; Sapphire glass for added screen protection ; Some useful new running metrics

Battery drop from the the 965 ; The price has increased massively ; Garmin heart rate monitor needed for new metrics

The Garmin Forerunner 970 is a superb running and sports tracking smartwatch, it’s just a shame that the price has gone up a lot and the battery life has dropped a little.

The Garmin Forerunner 570 is a perfectly fine sports watch, and while not the most complete smartwatch, it offers enough on that front.

Garmin’s brightest AMOLED display ; Solid all-round sports tracking ; Some of Garmin’s voice-based features added

Feels expensive for the feature set ; Battery drain due to brighter display ; Lacks full mapping

The Garmin Forerunner 570 is a fine running and multisports watch that is oddly priced compared to other mid-range watches that offer more features for much less.

This is a very extra watch for very nerdy runners.

Brightest screen on a smartwatch. Super-detailed running features. Great training suggestions. Flashlight, speaker, and mic are nice.
