AKG K240 MKII

Always listenable, but you can do much better at this money

Comfortable; spacious, even delivery; don?t leak as much as the fully open ?phones

Too soft to dig-up the finest details and dynamic nuances; needs a bit more punch

AKG K240 MKII HEADPHONES

The AKG K240 MKII are semi-open, critical listening headphones with an above-average sound. They're comfortable to wear and deliver an immersive audio reproduction. Unfortunately, they're not the most versatile headphones. They perform poorly in loud...

Above-average audio reproduction. ; Lightweight and comfortable design.

Very sensitive to ambient noise, by design. ; High leakage, by design.

AKG K240 MKII

Great performance across the spectrum ; Semi-open (carves a good niche) ; Very light and comfortable

Build quality is a little questionable ; Not the prettiest looking

Over the years, different variants of the K240 have garnered a reputation of being the base-level standard when it comes to studio monitoring headphones. Budding audiophiles the world over take their first steps into serious listening with these...

I have been using the AKG K 240 mk ll's for 4 months. What I like most about these headphones is how great they sound. Its truly amazing. I also have a pair of Sony MDR-V700DJ which are also nic...

Professional studio standard - best mixing headphones

I feel uncomfortable throwing phrases like "best in the world", but in case of these headphones I have a backing. Every studio I went into had several pairs of these hanging on a wall. I'm sure there are better, more expensive headphones for all sorts...

Flat frequency response for clearest possible sound

Fantastic upgrade from Superlux

I got these to replace Superlux HD-688. Used mainly for gaming and some mixing when I cant run monitors very loud. Of course these are classics and the sound quality is very well known, they're stunning. The build quality is top notch with 2 cables for...

Good earphones - Cable stanky

These speakers have unbelievable quality of sound that I use to game, make music and watch shows. The only issue is that jack into the headphones themselves are not well designed. That's the only flaw. Otherwise, they are super great for the price. I...

Consumer review (head-fi.org)

Clean, detailed and relatively balanced headphone with one major flaw for me personally.

Introduction I have owned these headphones for four years now. These were my first decent pair that I researched before buying. Before this I had just bought inexpensive headphones that happened to be in the shop at the time or used ones that were...

Beautiful mids, instrument separation, detail retreival, non-fatiguing, light weight

Positional accuracy, small earpads. slight lack of punchiness (though this does make them an easy listen)

Great Sound Plus Loads Of Accessories

ore bass than velour because the sound bleed is more even if the headphone is a semi-open unit ), with a great mid range ( male, female vocals ) and fantastic highs. These are 55ohm headphones which scale well with better amp/dac. Highly recommended
