Massive bass response; highly effective canceling; featherweight design; fold-up headphones fit in your pocket; soft storage case.

Battery and noise-canceling electronics live in a separate module that you hang on your hip.

AKG's megabass-endowed, Walkman-style noise-canceling headphones are nearly as effective as cumbersome over-the-ear models.

Readiris Pro 10 Corporate Edition

 

Readiris Pro 10 does a good job of recognizing a variety of fonts and formats.

Supports recognition in 117 languages. Reads bar codes. Reads hand-printed text. Saves to 14 text formats. Automatically divides scans of multiple documents into multiple files.

No built-in text editor. Command structure is less obvious than it could be.

All told, our preferred OCR program remains OmniPage Pro 14 Office, because of its more intuitive interface and somewhat richer feature set for the office, but Readiris is a less expensive alternative that can still get the job done.
