AKG K391 NC

The AKG K391 NC is a powerful pair of noise canceling in-canal earphones with enough upsides to compensate for its merely average noise cancellation.

In both passive and active modes, the K391 NC outputs audio, though typically the passive mode is less powerful, with less low-frequency presence. Regardless, in either listening mode, the earphones do not distort, even on tracks with intense sub-bass...

AKG K391 NC

The AKG K391 NC is a powerful pair of noise canceling in-canal earphones with enough upsides to compensate for its merely average noise cancellation.

Powerful bass response and distortion-free, crisp sound signature. Outputs audio in both passive and powered modes. Charges via USB rather than inconvenient disposable batteries. Inline remote control and microphone for mobile devices.

Noise cancellation isn't class-leading. The inline compartment will be an annoyance for some. Bass-boosted sound signature not for purists.

AKG K391-NC HEADPHONES

The AKG K391-NC are a good set of in-ear buds that sound great and isolate the listener really well. The outstanding noise cancellation and leakage performance are recommended for noisy commutes. The sound profile works well for most music genres but...

Outstanding noise isolation. ; Accurate audio reproduction. ; Very little sound leakage.

Unexciting design. ; Uncomfortable "in ear" fit.

AKG K391 NC In-Ear Headphones Review

Up until this point, noise-canceling headphones were all a bunch of poorly designed pieces of cheap plastics costing a lot more that you've bargained for. Recent outings namely from Harman Kardon, changed all that with an attentive touch for good...

Reviews: AKG K391 NC Active Noise-Canceling In-Ear Headphones with Microphone

Austrian headphone maker AKG is owned by Harman International, best known in the Apple accessory world for its numerous well-designed Harman and JBL-branded speakers, as well as lines of premium and budget headphones. Relative to what’s come...

Taken as a whole, K391 NC is a very good noise-canceling earphone option—a premium-priced model with just enough legitimately premium functionality to be worthy of considering. Between the nice industrial design, clean sound, and very welcome...
