B&O BeoPlay H8 review

Stylish noise-cancelling on-ears, these B&Os should make your wishlist...

Effective noise-cancelling ; Balanced, full-bodied listen ; Good dynamics and detail ; Replaceable battery

Bass a little fat ; Slight thud when walking

Style meets great features and good sound in B&O’s flagship on-ears

Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H8 review: Bang & Oh... the price

In the hunt for a decent pair of headphones it's logical to select a well-known brand such as Bang & Olufsen. The Danish high-end audio manufacturer's most recent noise-cancelling on-ear headphones, the BeoPlay H8, certainly look the part, but with a...

Clear sound, effective noise-cancellation, quality construction, booming bass

Bass can be too much, resonant interference when walking not ideal, feedback issues when battery runs low, expensive

The Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H8 on-ear headphones look great, hammer out bass, and their active noise-cancellation is brilliant.

Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H8 review: A swanky Bluetooth headphone with a price to match

This $500 wireless on-ear headphone looks great and is loaded with features, including noise canceling, but a few small flaws take away some of its luster.

The Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H8 has a sleek, sturdy design, with a metal/leather headband and plush earcups, and very good sound for Bluetooth. It also features active noise canceling, touch controls in the right earcup and a replaceable rechargeable...

It's expensive; the on-ear design isn't as comfortable as some over-ear designs and the sound isn't quite as open as we would have liked.

B&O Beoplay H8 review

  (Rating Hidden)

The B&O Beoplay H8 headphones are a serious investment, costing as much as a half-decent turntable. From a brand that made a name for itself with high-end audio equipment, that's perhaps not too surprising, but does the quality match the price tag? We...

Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay H8 Headphones

Built from aluminium and swathed in leather, the lush BeoPlay H8 on-ear headphones from Bang & Olufsen sound as good as they look.

Beautifully constructed with premium materials; Superb audio quality; Solid wireless battery life

Wireless connection slips a tad; On-ear controls take time to get use to

The fact that the BeoPlay H8's will set you back R7 500 cannot be ignored. It is a fair chunk of money to be dishing out. A few days with it though and the price feels fully justified. This is the type of device for those who truly enjoy their music....

B&O BeoPlay H8: Stylish, but expensive Bluetooth headphones [REVIEW]

B&O's BeoPlay H8 Bluetooth headphones have killer looks and good sound, but like all of its products, it's pricey.

Handsome, premium design ; Responsive gesture controls ; Comfy ear cups

Gesture controls don't work when headphones are wired ; 3-hour charging time ; No way to turn off active noise-cancellation when connected through cable ; Flat sound profile

B&O's first wireless headphones are discreetly luxurious. The BeoPlay H8 have good active noise-cancellation and the touch panel is also a handy feature, but the flat sound may be a turnoff if you listen to today's bass-heavier songs.
