Beats Executive

Headphones with decent sound, but a fatal flaw.

Striking design, Mostly elegant hardware implementation of ANC

Catastrophic internal design, Quite expensive, Hissy noise cancellation, A bit heavy

Do the Beats by Dre Executive offer enough to justify the price tag?

Comfort ; Epic silence ; Rugged design and case

Batteries are essential ; Pricey

Beats by Dr. Dre Executive

If you like huge bass, give these Beats a go – but there are too many caveats for us to be able to recommend them

Beautiful design and construction ; Natural midrange ; Sweet treble ; Inline mic and remote control

Noise-cancelling tech hisses ; Lack dynamic flair ; Bass is a little too tubby

Beats Executive review

Just because you're sat in the boardroom battling to win the big Henderson account doesn't mean you can't wear big, boisterous headphones. The Beats Executive aim to please the jet-set business crowd with noise-cancellation tech, while maintaining the...

Punchy bass; Balanced sound even at high volume; Attractive style.

Audible, ever-present hiss; Sound-cancellation is non-optional; Very expensive.

The Beats Executive combine boisterous bass with noise-cancellation tech, but the latter proves to be the undoing of these boardroom-based cans. An irritating, audible hiss and the fact that these headphones only work with the noise-cancelling tech...

Beats by Dr. Dre Executive headphones review

You probably don't associate the Beats by Dr. Dre brand with corporate chic, but that's the vibe the company is going for with its Executive noise-canceling headphones.

The Beats by Dr. Dre Executive noise-canceling headphones have a sleek, sturdy design, fit comfortably, offer good sound for noise-canceling headphones, and come with two cords, one of which has an inline remote with microphone.

They're expensive and a bit heavy, and there's a faint hiss with noise cancellation activated, and noise cancellation must be activated to get sound.

The Beats by Dr. Dre Executive noise-canceling headphones have an appealing design, strong features, and good sound, but they don't quite measure up to the Bose QuietComfort 15 noise-canceling headphones.

Beats by Dr. Dre Executive

The Beats by Dr. Dre Executive headphones deliver decent noise cancellation and powerful low-end thump, but there is serious competition to consider in this price range.

Quality audio performance for bass lovers at moderate volumes. Decent active noise cancellation. Comfortable fit. Two detachable cables—one with inline remote and microphone for mobile devices. Quality accessories.

Distortion on deep bass tracks at top volumes. Noise cancellation produces audible hiss. Doesn't produce audio in passive mode. Runs on AAA batteries, not a rechargeable battery.

Beats Executive Headphones Review

The Beats Executive headphones sport a classy design, refined sound quality and long battery life. Be warned, though: Its strong active noise cancelling creates a nasty hiss.

Elegant, refined design ; Loud, balanced audio with big bass ; Comfortable fit ; Long battery life

Expensive ; Music dies when battery does ; Active noise-cancelling creates subtle hiss

The Beats Executive headphones offer balanced audio with deep bass and good active noise-canceling in a slick, modern frame.
