Bowers & Wilkins' PI7 are simply next-level stuff when it comes to sound quality, and have some ingenious features

The best-sounding wireless earbuds yet ; Solid noise cancellation ; Really clever extra features ; Comfortable fit and weight…

…but size is literally too big for some ; No quick ANC/Transparency switch ; Average battery life

Bowers & Wilkins PI7 are a true wireless masterpiece, with some fantastic extra features. But the design of the earbud may be an issue for smaller ears.

Impressive sound quality comes with a high price tag

Clear, agile, insightful sound ; Classy finish ; Retransmitter case feature

Expensive compared to main rivals ; Occasional sound drop-outs ; Noise-cancelling is basic

Their sound is wonderfully detailed and clear, but on balance we expected more from Bowers & Wilkins’ first premium true wireless earbuds

The Bowers & Wilkins PI7 are certainly not perfect, but where audio quality is concerned they're closer to perfect than any alternative.

Thoroughly engaging and convincing sound Clever charging case Premium look and feel

Treble response doesn’t need much provocation Unblinkingly expensive Noise cancellation and battery life is nothing special

Audiophile brand Bowers & Wilkins has always taken its sweet time in adopting new technologies. Was its move into true wireless worth the wait?
