Corsair HS1A Review

Ditching the USB connection leads to a very low price for this brilliantly comfortable headset.

The HS1A is very comfortable, and has excellent sound clarity and detail. Unfortunately, it lacks the bass depth that provides the wow factor in games, music and movies. This can be dialled out with a bit of fiddling with EQ balances, though, making it...

Corsair HS1A Gaming Headset Review

When we took Corsair's first gaming headset for a spin last fall, the HS1, we were left impressed by the fact that the company went for balanced audio instead of boomy bass, resulting in a refreshing listening experience. As they were USB-based,...

With the introduction of the HS1 headset back in October of last year, we were delighted with Corsair's first entry into the PC audio world, with 2 sets of speakers to follow. The only complaint, if any, that could be made about the headset was the USB...

Corsair HS1A Gaming Headset

It's rare to find a company that consistently hits home runs with their products, even more so in the tech industry with how quickly things change. Corsair is one of the few companies that have been consistently innovating in the industry over the past...

Corsair HS1A Gaming Headset

Corsair has recently released their new headset from their Gaming Audio Series line, the HS1A. The HS1A is a newer version of the HS1, with the “A” symbolizing the change from USB-only to analog audio connectors. The analog HS1A headset will leave a...

The Corsair HS1A headset really proved its worth in the testing that we performed on it. The adjustable one-size-fits-all headband worked well to help us get the perfect fit to make extended use a pleasure. The padded synthetic leather headband was...

Corsair HS1A Gaming Headset Review

Corsair has hit the PC audio market with a slew of new products in the last year. And all of them appear to be strong performers. The Corsair HS1A Headset is no different. It is made with the highest quality materials and adheres to Corsair's tight...

Corsair HS1A Gaming Headset Review

Featuring large 50mm speakers, interchangeable earpads and a built-in microphone, it has all the goodies one will need for a good audio experience without all the flashiness or high pricing.

The HS1A is an analog headset which may put some people off at first, but it is a great performer. One of the advantages I found it had over USB headsets was being able to use it on many different devices. I was able to use it listen to my iPod or...

Corsair HS1A Review

Corsair- a name that conjures images not only of the style of ship, but also of exploration into strange and unknown lands. It is a name that brings intense feelings of wonder and exhilaration that come with the discovery of those unexplored paradises....

Sturdy construction ; Comfortable, even after lengthy usage ; Second set of earpads provided

Necessary lack of Dolby Headphone technology ; Not the best for music, again ; Overshadowed by HS1 ; Price

Disregarding Dolby Headphone for a moment, Corsair's second headset, apart from some negligible, minor differences, is identical to the HS1. Overall this is a good thing, because the HS1 is hugely comfortable and constructed very well. The quality that...

Overall high quality headset

Highly recomend

These headphones have nice sound and are comfortable to wear, as previous reviews have stated. The best feature in my mind is how easy these are to store - they fold up neatly and can be thrown right into my bag

No major flaws

Dissapointing

Left side stopped working after about a month of use. I took very good care of these, hanging them on a hook when i wasn't wearing them. Break seemed to happen where the chord connects to the headset. Sad though, probably one of my favorite headsets...

VERY comfortable, very easy to forget you're wearing them ; Also very large, cover's my entire ear ; Mic quality is good

Quiet. Always have to turn my sound down if/when i switch to ear buds
