Denon AH-D9200 headphones review: Sound sensation

If you're looking for high-end headphones, the D9200 deliver sensational sound quality, and a lovely design complete with Japanese wood and leather.

Immense sound quality - crystal highs and clean bass ; Premium design and wood finish ; Highly comfortable - even over long periods of wear

Sound leakage ; No noise-cancelling fanciness ; Large build ; Double wire input doesn't make for best portable design ; Pricey!

Yes, £1,400 is a lot of money. But the Denon AH-D9200 deliver clarity that's nothing short of phenomenal. For the right kind of customer - who doesn't want or need noise-cancelling, wireless connectivity, and so forth - these over-ears will bring an...

Denon AH-D9200 over-ear headphones review

Unique looks Warm, open soundstage Luxurious finish

No carrying case included Very expensive

If you’re looking for luxury over-ear headphones with audiophile sound quality, these Denon over-ear headphones are a great choice. They look and sound fantastic – but like most luxury headphones, they cost a pretty penny, too.

Denon D9200 review: the best portable headphones don’t come cheap

These $1,599 headphones are premium both in price and in fact

Beautiful, emotive, genre-agnostic sound ; Truly premium build quality and materials ; Good passive noise isolation ; Replaceable pads

Sound leaks out ; Can’t collapse them down when not in use ; No carrying case provided

With a build quality and an aesthetic that promise to stand the test of time, the Denon D9200s are an easy pair of headphones to recommend. Take good care of them, and they’ll last you long enough to make their high initial price feel entirely justified.
