JBL Live 650BTNC review

Perfect middle ground headphones or just middle-of-the-road?

Good feature-set ; Sweetly communicative midrange ; Nicely built

Dominant, droning bass ; Hard, clattering treble

These noise-cancelling headphones are quite fun, right until the moment they become absolutely exhausting

JBL Live 650BTNC review

One of the best budget noise-cancelling headphones around

Dynamic, punchy sound ; Supports Google Assistant + Alexa ; Extremely comfortable

MicroUSB charging ; Good, but not class-leading ANC ; Non-adjustable ANC

The JBL Live 650BTNC offers good noise-cancellation, battery life, comfort, and features for a great price. We came away impressed at the well-rounded package JBL put together here and highly recommend it those who don’t want to splurge on the flagship...

JBL Live 650BTNC over-ear headphones review: Bona fide bargain noise-cancelling cans

Bluetooth headphones with active noise-cancelling tend to cost a fair whack - but not this JBL set, which is feature heavy for a bargain price.

Rapid Google connectivity and Bluetooth connectivity makes for ease of use ; Fairly effective active noise-cancelling (ANC) for blocking out hiss/hum ; Good audio output for the asking price

Micro-USB cable rather than USB-C ; Overladen with logos ; ANC less capable than rivals ; Audio quality and balance not on par with pricier rivals

Looking for a noise-cancelling bargain? Look no further - JBL has delivered a highly capable wireless ANC set of cans for the budget.

JBL Live 650BTNC review: Top-notch headphone audio that costs less than Bose and Sony

This $200 noise-canceling headphone serves up impressive sound, making it a more affordable alternative to models from Bose and Sony.

The JBL Live 650BTNC has impressive sound and a comfortable fit while costing less than its premium rivals. The design seems sturdy and it folds up to fit in an included canvas pouch. It supports Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa with a button press.

The noise cancelation isn't as good as Sony's or Bose's.

While its noise-canceling feature and comfort level aren't quite on par with competing models from Bose and Sony, its sound measures up well and it's worth considering if you don't want to spend $300 or more on a noise-canceling headphone.

JBL Live 650BTNC

The JBL Live 650BTNC headphones deliver powerful audio performance and average noise cancellation in a wireless design that also works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Powerful bass depth. Adjustable EQ. Alexa and Google Assistant support. Can be used in wireless or wired modes. Excellent mic clarity.

Voice commands require press of a button. No track navigation controls. Merely decent noise cancellation.

Bass lovers will enjoy the powerful lows the JBL Live 650BTNC can conjure, and those looking for a more balanced, crisp sound can adjust things using the app's EQ. The built-in mic offers excellent clarity, the headphones are quite comfortable, and the...

JBL Live 650 BTNC Wireless Review

The JBL Live 650 BTNC Wireless are well-built, comfortable over-ears. Out-of-the-box, they have a slightly bass-heavy sound profile that adds a little extra thum...

Parametric EQ and presets. Well-built, comfortable design. Low latency over wired connection.

Poor passive soundstage performance. Not very breathable. ANC feature struggles to block out bass-heavy ambient noise. Mediocre microphone recording quality.

The JBL Live 650 BTNC are satisfactory for neutral sound. Out-of-the-box, they have a fairly neutral, though slightly bass-heavy sound profile that adds extra thump and punch to your audio. If you prefer a different sound, there's a parametric EQ and...

JBL Live 650BTNC noise canceling headphones review: an affordable alternative to Sony and Bose

There's some tough competition on the market for Bluetooth noise canceling headphones, and JBL's Live 650BTNC are here to compete with a slightly more affordable price tag. Furthermore, these over-ear headphones feature may offer the There's some tough...

Excellent sound ; Easy to use controls ; Collapsible ; Alexa and Google Assistant support ; Solid design and comfort ; 20+ hour battery life

Weak noise cancellation ; Non standard 2.5mm jack ; Extended wear creates pressure on head ; Limited settings in app

Don’t get them for their noise cancelation, but get them for their amazing audio

JBL LIVE 650BTNC review: An excellent pair of noise-cancelling headphones

Noise-cancelling headphones are very useful in a myriad of situations, like traveling and the JBL LIVE 650BTNC headphones are excellent.

Nice design, looks better than Bose ; Easy to use and setup ; Great sound and acceptable ANC ; Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa capable ; Great battery life ; Great build quality ; Great value for money ; Simple app used for EQ and firmware updates

Headband can become uncomfortable after long hours of use ; Wish these had USB Type-C charging

Not everyone wants to drop over $300 on a pair of ANC headphones. JBL offers a pair that is $150 less and, in my opinion, compete nicely with the higher priced offerings. These are certainly a pair of ANC headphones to put on your consideration list if...
