GOOD GEAR GUIDE - EDITOR'S CHOICE

Logitech UE 900 earphones

These audiophile in-ear monitors can make your music sound great

Excellent sound quality ; Good isolation with foam tips ; Sturdy construction

Complicated fit process ; Can be uncomfortable ; Expensive

Logitech’s UE 900 in-ear monitor earphones are aimed at the discerning music listener who wants the absolute best detail and widest frequency range. They’re expensive, and their comparatively large outer dimensions may not suit smaller ears, but for...

Logitech UE 900

The expensive Logitech UE 900 earphones aren't perfect, but balanced audio performance and a generous assortment of accessories sweeten the deal.

Strong audio performance at moderate listening levels. Built-in controls and microphone for iPhone. Cable is removable, and ships with an extra. Sturdy carrying case includes several extra eartips, ?-inch plug adapter.

Slightly overpriced. Distorts on deep bass tracks at maximum volume. Can be slightly uncomfortable over long listening periods.

Logitech UE900

Logitech UE900

Very good mids and low frequencies ; Balance and detail works with a variety of music ; Comfortable fit and easy on the ear ; In-line volume and mic for iPhone ; Replacement cable and a bunch of ear-tips in the box

Clarity loss at high volumes ; Wearing these can be a process, every time ; Costs a lot of money

Logitech/Ultimate Ears UE-900 Earphones (Hi-Fi+)

Ultimate Ears has made many fine universal-fit earphones over the years, but the firm is perhaps even better known for its custom-fit in-ear monitors, which are used by working musicians and other music lovers around the world. About a year ago I...

Logitech UE 900 In-ears

These are of a good value for a set of $400 in-ears, especially considering the massive bundle you get which them. They offer performance that is in the same class as the Westone 4Rs – our benchmark. While the UE900s are not quite as good when it comes...

Great sound quality, Cable with microphone included, Five sets of silicone tips plus three sets of Comply foam-tips, User replaceable cable, Good sound stage, Price

Memory wire in the cables, Remote function only for iDevices, Bundle lacks a clam shell or some other small and portable protective-case

Logitech Ultimate Ears UE 900 Earbuds Review: Mind-Blowing Sound - Less Than Brilliant Ergonomics

At $400 (I know, I know - stay with me here), the Logitech UE900s are well out of many people's perceived reasonable price range for a set of headphones. Especially earbuds. But I'd like to remind everyone that there is a definitely a market for...

definitely better than the one they replace

This is a review for the 900s (using an iBasso DX90) My dear and beloved triple fi 10 died recently, after 6 years of intensive use and a fair amount of abuse, So well done UE, and thanks for the worthy investment. After looking at a dozen of potential...

more clarity, more sound stage, more balanced sound, cleaner bass, more presence in the mids

poor set of accessories, remote, cable, swivel connectors

Good mid range IEMs, although the right ear tips make a difference

This is my first review so keep that in mind. I bought a pair used UE 900's at Cex, an electronics resale store in San Francisco. I was cleaning them and pulled the wrong way on the MMCX connector and the freakin' right unit came apart and ripped the...

Crisp but not piercing highs, adequate bass, good sound stage, Logitech customer support is very helpful and proactive

mids can seem a little flat time, cheap look and construction
