Motorola S9-HD Headset (Black) review

When Motorola came out with the Motorola Rokr S9 headset two years ago, stereo Bluetooth headsets were still fairly new, and the S9 gained popularity because of its sports-centric design. Now that more phones have stereo Bluetooth capability (including...

The Motorola Rokr S9 HD has a comfortable and secure design and great audio quality. The buttons are easy to use as well.

The Motorola Rokr S9 HD can feel unwieldy when exercising or working out, and the Bluetooth connection cuts out occasionally if the paired device isn't positioned correctly. Also, the power button feels stiff, and the charger jack cover isn't secured...

The Motorola Rokr S9 HD is a simple and lightweight stereo Bluetooth headset, but take caution when using it for an active lifestyle.

Motorola S9 Bluetooth Stereo Headphones

Looking like something out of The Jetsons, Motorola's latest accessory to hit the market is actually a handy pair of headphones. Sporting a uni...

Lightweight and comfortable design, reasonable sound quality, double as hands-free headset for mobile phone use, three different size earbuds included, playback controls, water and sweat resistant

Microphone for hands-free calling not the best, controls require a firm press to activate, battery life could be improved

The S9's are comfortable and provide reasonable, if not outstanding audio quality.

Motorola MotoROKR S9-HD

Motorola's well-designed and affordable MotoROKR S9-HD may finally give stereo Bluetooth headsets a good name—even when it comes to sound quality.

Full, detailed sound with good mid-bass response. Lightweight. More comfortable to wear than true in-ear designs. Bundled iPod adapter is slim and adds extra value.

Overly bright treble. Coarse volume adjustment. Floating headband design can get in the way.

Motorola S9 review

The Motorola S9 Bluetooth Active Headphones feature an attractive design, user-friendly controls, and solid sound quality.

The Motorola S9 Bluetooth Active Headphones' earbuds have a tendency to pinch if not set correctly.

The Motorola S9 Bluetooth Active Headphones offer a worthy choice for wireless cell phone sound.

Motorola S9 Headphones

The wireless convenience and decent performance of Motorola's S9 Bluetooth headphones doesn't justify the premium price tag.

Easy to pair and use ; Not as big or unsightly as other headsets

Uncomfortably tight fit around head ; Made our ears look "wingnutty

Overall The S9 is definitely a viable alternative to wired stereo headphones, and would be especially useful when exercising. But at AU$149 is the freedom of going wireless worth the premium pricing? That kind of money could buy some excellent wired...

Motorola MOTOROKR S9-HD Bluetooth Stereo Headset - Mobile Tech Review

Though the form factor looks largely unchanged from the last generation S9 headset, the S9-HD is slightly lighter and it feels more balanced. Weighing 1.12 ounces (32 grams), the S9-HD Bluetooth headset still has the behind-the-head active form but...

Better design than the last gen S9. The headset stays on better and the buttons are easier to find and press. Audio quality is quite good and bass is powerful. Pairing is smooth and can pair with 2 phones simultaneously. Lightweight and easy to carry...

The audio needs a little bit more tweaking as it noticeably favors the right channel. Voice call quality isn't very good.

Review: Motorola S9-HD Headset

Since I abhor wires, when the opportunity to check out the next version of the venerable Motorola S9 headset line, I jumped at the chance.  Is it as good as the original?
