Philips SHB9850NC review: Wireless noise-cancelling headphones at a bargain price

A good price for a pair of headphones this stuffed with features and they sound pretty good, too

Active noise cancelling ; Bluetooth with aptX and AAC ; Light and comfortable

All plastic headband ; Over-sensitive touch controls

Sound quality can’t match the best wired headphones at this price, and the noise cancelling takes the edge off the background noise rather than completely deadening it, but for the price, these cans are a very good buy indeed.

Philips SHB9850NC review

Not everyone can afford Bose noise-cancelling headphones but companies like Philips are on hand with budget freindly alternatives. We review the SHB9850NC over-ear wireless headphones.

These headphones are not for the more discerning listener but for a little over £100, they make a good choice for those looking for a combination of over-ear wireless headphones. The touch controls aren't great and the noise cancellation isn't overly...

Philips SHB9850NC

great product overall. excellent sound quality, forget about Beats or Bose. great noise cancelling. even comes with an airplane adapter, i sat next to a wing on a 12 hours flight and turned on the noise cancelling and that alone was worth the price...

the built in plastic, they could use metal in some places to make it less fragile (its still sturdy enough for day to day use), don't take it to gym and expect it to last you 10 years, this is to listen to music on your way to work, when on your laptop...

The high fidelity audio with an aux cable, brilliant move. Even only on bluetooth sounds really good, would be perfect for any electronic music, even rock and metal seem to play fine. I use wma's btw not mp3's The touch controls work very well once you...

Although it's a decent leatherette, it does hurt the my ears after 2 hours because it is a bit on the small side for me, but I have big ears. The bluetooth does cut out occasionally and for some reason disconnects when out of range, noise cancelling is...
