BackBeat Go Black Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Headset for Mobile Music and Media

Plantronics BackBeat Go review

A stereo Bluetooth headset for users who prefer a more svelte setup

Comfortable ; Great call quality ; Easy to use

Bass response is lacking ; Volume is too low on certain devices

At $99.99 the Plantronics BackBeat Go is a fantastic Bluetooth headset. It handles basic functions like phone calls and pairing amazingly. And the fact that it charges via micro-USB in around two and a half hours and boasts a talk time of about four...

Plantronics BackBeat Go 600 isn't fancy, but it's a good value

The company's new $100 over-ear Bluetooth headphones are full-sized yet comfortable, and sound pretty good.

The Plantronics BackBeat Go 600 are lightweight, comfortable over-ear Bluetooth headphones that sound decent and work well for making calls. You can toggle between more neutral or bass-boosted sound modes.

Bass lacks a little definition. The earcups can show scratches.

Don't expect a "wow" from the lightweight, comfortable Plantronics BackBeat 600, but they're as good or better than a lot of headphones in this price range.

Plantronics Backbeat Go Bluetooth Headset (Black) review

It's hard to design really small wireless Bluetooth earphones because you have to cram a battery and some extra electronics into a compact housing the size of something that's not much bigger than, well, an earbud.

The Plantronics BackBeat Go is a compact wireless stereo headset that sounds decent, is attractively designed, and is reasonably priced.

Battery life isn't great (4.5 hours); buttons on the inline remote are small; and the LED that indicates when the device is on or in pairing mode is tiny.

There's a lot to like about the BackBeat Go wireless stereo headset, but some notable shortcomings temper our enthusiasm.

Plantronics BackBeat Go in-ear headphones

You won't experience much bass, but the Plantronics BackBeat Go headphones are certainly convenient

Sit conveniently around your neck ; Easy to set up and use ; Decent battery life

Not the loudest volume ; Bass lacks punch ; No multipoint Bluetooth

While they may not impress when it comes to top-end audio quality, the Plantronics BackBeat Go wireless in-ear headphones offer plenty of convenience. The sound produced isn't the loudest and bass lacks punch but the real impressive feature here is the...

That's a challenge Plantronics has endeavored to overcome with its $99.99 BackBeat Go wireless stereo headset, one of the smallest and lightest stereo Bluetooth headsets out there, which features two slightly oversize earbuds joined by a flat,...

Plantronics BackBeat Go

The Plantronics BackBeat Go is a comfortable, extremely unobtrusive, wireless stereo Bluetooth earphone set that works equally well for voice calls and music.

Comfortable. Lightweight. Excellent voice quality and noise suppression in both directions. Tangle-free cord really works. Clear midrange and high-end when listening to music

Ultra-soft earbud tips make it difficult to get the right fit. Some cable thump when walking. Thin bass response

Plantronics offers MyHeadset, an Android app that adds a battery headset meter when connected to Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) tablets or Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)-powered phones. The BackBeat Go also added one automatically to the iPhone 4 I tested...
