The Razer Barracuda X is a versatile gaming headset that supports multiple platforms, including PS5, Nintendo Switch, PC and mobile.

Supports multiple platforms for wireless ; Good audio quality and 3D sound on PS5 ; Ideal design for on-the-go music playback ; Great 20-hour battery life

Lack of Bluetooth for dual connectivity ; No companion app or high-end features ; 7.1 surround sound on PC is locked behind a paywall

Razer Barracuda X review: an affordable gaming headset with insanely good sound

The Razer Barracuda X offers high-quality audio with a more stripped-back design

Fantastic sound quality ; 20-hour battery life ; Simple setup

No Bluetooth support ; You can’t use it wirelessly with Xbox ; Lacks desktop software

Often high-quality gaming headsets come at a steep price, but the Razer Barracuda X actually doesn't cost over the odds. For your money, you get impressive, accurate audio across all types of games and even music, as well as hours of wear without any...

Razer Barracuda X review: A really impressive mid-range headset

This headset from Razer is a great pick for PlayStation or PC gamers.

Lightweight and comfortable fit ; Understated design ; Very solid audio

Wireless is only on PC or PlayStation

A great pick for anyone with a PC, PS4 or PS5 - it works so easily with these platforms and is a real pleasure to use, priced sensibly for the quality it offers, too.

Razer Barracuda X gaming headset review

Ooh... Barracuda! Is this snake-named Razer headset worth dropping a hundred quid for?

Incredible comfy ; Very lightweight ; Good audio quality

Doesn't work with iPhone ; Doesn't fold up

Unless you’re absolutely dedicated to the idea of nabbing a headset that will work wirelessly with an iPhone, we’d wager that the Razer Barracuda X would be a very solid purchase. It’ll do the job for all your gaming needs whilst also looking so sleek...

Razer Barracuda X gaming headset review: Plug-and-play convenience

Don't need a ton of bells and whistles to make a good headset.

Super comfortable to wear ; Solid audio quality with good positional accuracy ; Plug-and-play compatibility across multiple platforms ; Folds away neatly into your backpack ; Professional look ; Reasonably priced

No support for Bluetooth; not mobile-device friendly ; No Xbox Wireless support ; Doesn't work with Razer Synapse; no EQ adjustments or easy battery level check ; THX Spatial Audio is a paid upgrade ; Microphone isn't the best

Razer Barracuda X Review

USB-C dongle works with PC, Android phones, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation ; Strong audio performance ; Clear microphone ; Light, comfortable fit ; Bundled with lots of cables

No carrying case or pouch for cables or dongle ; No Bluetooth or wireless connectivity for Xbox or iPhone ; Doesn't feel quite as solid as other Razer headsets

The Razer Barracuda X is an incredibly flexible wireless gaming headset with a USB-C adapter that easily connects to PCs, Android phones, and the Nintendo Switch and Sony PlayStation consoles.

Razer Barracuda X review

The Razer Barracuda X is a solid 4-in-1 wireless gaming headset with software stuck behind a paywall

Comfortable ear cups ; Solid gaming and music performance ; Works wirelessly with almost every system ; USB Type-C charging

Cheap plastic design ; No included audio software

The Razer Barracuda X features solid audio performance in a comfortable design, but its cheap materials and lack of free software are low points.

Razer Barracuda X Wireless Review

Good noise handling performance. Low latency. Excellent imaging performance. Comfortable fit. Over 24-hour continuous battery life.

No carrying case included. No companion app. No sound customization features. Leak some noise. Bulky design. Poor noise isolation.

The Razer Barracuda X are satisfactory for neutral sound. Out-of-the-box, they have a fairly neutral, though slightly warm sound profile that adds a little extra thump and punch in the bass range. However, higher frequencies of vocals and lead...
