Sennheiser IE 7 review

Sennheiser's IE range is a sound-isolating family of earphones for the high-end market, outperforming and out-costing the casual CX lines . The IE 7s are sandwiched between the entry-level IE 6s and the flagship IE 8 s, and have an SRP of £179.

All-round decent performance; warm, powerful sound; rich bass; comfortable.

Treble not as airy or sparkling as some other models.

At this price point they're a strong alternative to the Klipsch Custom-3s, with an ever-so-slightly deeper bass, but equally impressive abilities with vocals and acoustic music -- they're generally attractive all-rounders

Sennheiser IE7 Sound-Isolating Earphones

Experience great sound quality without having to contend with ambient noise

These earphones provide sound-isolation, which means that they cut out external noise. The earphones give great bass sound as well as good sound quality. The earphones are comfortable to wear as well

These earphones are a bit weak on the treble side of the sound spectrum

Great sound quality seems to be a trademark of these unique earphones. They provide rich and deep bass along with awesome mid-range sound. Thanks to the in-ear design of the earphones, they cut out environmental noise quite effectively. Although you...

Sennheiser IE7

Sennheiser has crafted a very successful line of in-ears with the IE-line. The IE7s are no exception, with an incredibly big sound stage and musical presentation they are a winner. My main beef with the IE7s is the sharp edge of the ear piece. It is...

Midrange, Good amount of details, Pleasing sound signature, Musical presentation, Instrument separation, Sound stage!, Full bass with good precision and extension

Price, Will lack a bit of sparkle for some, Ergonomics for some

Sennheiser IE 7 In-Ear Headphones

The German firm Sennheiser has long been known for producing excellent lower-cost earbuds such as the CX300 covered in our first “Killer Earbud” survey, but at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show the firm announced its ambitious new line of IE-series...

The IE 7s are superb highend earbuds that are fully competitive with other top models in this price class. Strengths include relatively high sensitivity (which helps give an energetic, full-bodied sound), excellent bass, and clear, well-balanced...

Most natural earphone

The best earphones out of my audiophile collection. I think those are 2X better than the klipsch image X10 and the super fi 5. This earphone is at the same class as the triple fi and the se530.

Those are some of the best sounding earphones i have ever used. The Mid on those are really natural and smooth. The vocal also sound crisp with a lot of emotional. The high also has a slightly roll-off and still maintain a lot of detail. The bass is...

requires at least 300 hour of burn in to sound at its best. Isolation also lacks compare to other iem

Great alternative

I've owned other higher end brands of headphones and so far these have proven to be the best for me. Make sure to take the time and find the right fitting for your ear to get the most out of these earbuds. They isolate noise extremely well and there is...

Very good stereo separation ; Very good background noise suppression ; Great build quality ; No cord noise ; Many different fittings ; Slick and useful carrying case
