Shure SE110 review

Shure has some serious heritage when it comes to earphones – will the entry-level SE110s live up to the hype?

Effective noise isolation coupled with a comfortable fit and brilliant sound quality

Shure SE110 review

Entry-level earphones lack the all-important hook to get you into the music

Well priced ; Effective sound isolation ; Decent clarity and definition

Sound lacks excitement ; Cable needs some weight trimmed ; Need extension cable in most settings

The cable is too heavy, the foam earcups hard to replace and the sound lacked sparkle

Shure SE110 review

With the Shure SE110 in-ear headphones, Shure has borrowed technology from its years of creating products for working musicians. This means you can expect a high standard of music playback and accuracy.

If you're hunting for good-quality headphones in this price range, then you should add these to your shortlist. Although it is worth noting that the better-sounding SE210 (the next in the range) are competitively priced in comparison to this set if you...

Shure SE110 review

With the majority of us simply looking for a reasonably priced upgrade from the stock earbuds that came with our MP3 players, Shure's SE110 earphones are one of the best values you can find for under $100 .

The Shure SE110 earphones are the most affordable entry point for high-endurance, high-fidelity earphones. They are especially adept at delivering bass.

The SE110 earphones sacrifice some of the high-frequency sparkle and low-end definition found in Shure's more premium-grade earphones.

If you're looking for a relatively affordable pair of earphones that can withstand both audiophile scrutiny and physical abuse, the Shure SE110 can rise to the challenge.

Shure SE110 earphones

Shure's E500PTH headphones (now known as the SE530s) have become the gold standard for headphone technology, leading the company to introduce its more affordable SE110s. We see if Shure can blend quality with affordability.

Excellent noise-cancelling, good top end and mid-range sound

Bass a little limited, better specified set only slightly more expensive if you shop around

If you're hunting for good- quality headphones in this price range, then you should add these to your shortlist. Although it is worth noting that the better-sounding SE210's (the next in the range) are competitively priced in comparison to this set if...
