Sony MDR-XB650BT

The Sony MDR-XB650BT are sensibly priced wireless headphones that are part of Sony's “Xtra Bass” range. It's the Sony equivalent to Beats, but its pairs tend to sell at a lower price.

The Sony MDR-XB650BT are tech-packed headphones let down by sloppy bass.

Sony MDR-XB650BT

The Sony MDR-XB650BT is a comfortable Bluetooth headphone pair that excels at delivering seriously intense bass.

Massive bass response. No distortion at top volume levels. Decent clarity in highs. Exceptionally comfortable.

Bass is way too dialed-up to be accurate. No way to listen passively via an audio cable. No protective pouch.

The Sony MDR-XB650BT is marketed as an "extra bass" headphone pair, and that's exactly what you get—along with a very comfy build. Booming bass fiends will absolutely love these while purists (or even those who really like bass but also want some...

• Bass can become overpowering ; • No optional wired playback

Good looks and built quality define the Sony MDR-XB650BT. Easy touch-pairing, built in high-fidelity microphone, mounted controls and an amazing battery backup make it one of the most friendly- to-use wireless headphones around. Though its extra bass...

Doesn't last.

Made from a brittle plastic .. both earphone hopes have snapped .. just outside 12 month warranty. Not robust enough.

Comfortable, quality headphones

First time I've ever used bluetooth headphones so nothing to compare them to, but so far, so good. They are easy to connect, comfortable to wear and give fine sound quality. I'm using them for night time television watching, not for mobility, so can't...
