Turtle Beach EarForce Z22 review

Yet another Turtle Beach headset vies for the space around your ears

Comfy for long periods ; Adjustable mic ; In-line amplifier ; Good mic quality

Some higher frequency noises a bit harsh ; Quite pricey

Turtle Beach Ear Force Z22 review

Gaming headsets, at first glance, might seem like the sort of thing that aren't of interest to most people unless you're a hardcore gamer. But we've been using the Turtle Beach Ear Force Z22 for a while now, and we have to say, we think there's a lot...

Great value, fantastic sound, brilliant microphone, decent construction, comfortable

Control box can get in the way

Super-light, super-comfortable and with super sound quality, there's pretty much nothing not to like about the Turtle Beach Ear Force Z22. The price is very reasonable indeed, and we've heard headphones that cost more but don't sound anywhere near as...

Good (While it lasted)

I'd recommend this product as a backup headset if one needed such a thing.

Good audio quality and amazing mic quality (for the price). The inline controls are very useful and it was a pretty good headset while it lasted.

The headset fell apart. No, it didn't fall or break or anything like that, it simply fell apart after a few months of use. This product would have a much higher rating if it weren't for the poor build quality.

Turtle Beach Z22 Chat drivers failed to install.

If even a driver was offered for people who are experiencing this issue, I wouldn't have been so disappointed. Still, that amount of work just to plug your headset in and get it working seems completely asinine.

The headphones are solid themselves. Typical turtle beach headset style, no real problems with the form or shape. The sound is good and this version does have a wide array of working with volume, volume of your microphone, treble, bass, and a "quiet"...

However, if you're using this for PC only, good luck. You're going to need it. If your drivers fail to download, there's no helping you. There's no support for this problem on their website, either. It works for some computers, others, no luck. I tried...

go elsewhere

sound great when they work

3rd pair of Turtle Beach headphones that have quit. I began to have a driver issue with the headphones. Turtle Beach has NO SUPPORT for you to go and download the drivers. So i now have a useless pair of headphones. Thanks

Cheap

For the money you spend on this you can get better. Coast me at the time $91.98.

Sounds ok for gaming , but no big deal. The sound would not be my main reason for buying them. The name TURTLE BEACH was. I thought this meant some thing

Cheaply made with brittle cheap plastic. "Hard but liable to break or shatter easily ".This is the second pair I had in a year,(I take good care of my gear) thy cracked in the same place each time. I cant be the only one they have heard from about this

Turtle Beach Z22

Works just fine on Skype and on my phone, so I have no real issues with this. Purchased it on sale for around $70 and I'm happy with my purchase. Works flawlessly for gaming, especially with the chat boost.

Low power consumption ; Audio controls on amplifier ; Drivers installed automatically on Windows 8.1 ; Decent sound quality for the price ; Phone support works flawlessly

Even fully extended, the ear pads don't extend far enough to my liking. Previous models were just fine ; Would not suggest for studio work. Get something by Sennheiser or Shure

Great Headset

Definitely recommend this headset to anybody looking for a decently priced gaming headset. Using it for BF4, Titanfall, League of Legends, Torchlight II and Dawngate, so I have a fair mix of games in there (as well as music ranging from classical to...

Great, clear sound with awesome surround. Mic works great too.

Could use a little more punch on the bass for explosions and some music. Not enough to warrant losing an egg though.

Great for the price

Not sure what some people on here are talking about, but all features work perfect under Win8 and Win 8.1 with no additional setup needed. Mic is very audible to everyone i've ever talked to. The 50mm drivers have proven more than adequate and accurate...

Comfortable for long sessions, more than decent MIC quality, Decent ventilation, More than adequate drivers especially for the price range, Separate volume control for chat and AUX input

No ambient sound cancellation, Mic boom a tad short for me
