Apple's superb new keyboard takes the ache out of typing

Super-slim and stylish ; Wireless version ; Faster USB ports ; Easy to keep clean ; Much more comfortable to use

Sleek, ergonomic and now with extra keys. Once you've tried this you'll never go back to your old keyboard again

Apple's new wireless keyboard is a thing of beauty. It's right up there among our favourite designs to spring from the fertile imaginations of the Apple design team. It took a tantalisingly long time for our order to arrive, but the wait was well worth it

Stunning looks, Gentle on the fingers, Fast for typing, Compact design frees up desk space, Long battery life

This keyboard is superb in every way. Another design classic from the Apple team

Apple keyboard

Apple has finally done away with its chunky old keyboard and replaced it with this super-slim aluminium upgrade. The new board comes bundled with all iMacs and Mac Pros, is available independently, and a wireless version should be available in the UK soon

Super-slim and stylish, Wireless version, Faster USB ports, Easy to keep clean, Much more comfortable to use

Sleek, ergonomic and now with extra keys. Once you've tried this you'll never go back to your old keyboard again

Apple Wireless Keyboard review

The Apple Wireless Keyboard's slim, compact design is good for use at home – for example, we use ours with a Apple Mac mini that's plugged into a flat-screen TV and used as a media centre in the living room.

The Apple Wireless Keyboard is less suited for use in an office environment – many people simply find it too compact to type on rapidly. It doesn't have a proper numeric keypad either, so it's not much use if your work involves a lot of number...

Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad review

You may have to fiddle to get it working on a PC, but Apple's keyboard is super-comfortable to type on and has excellent build quality

Apple Wireless Keyboard

The Apple Wireless Keyboard takes up little desk space. The footprint is determined by the keys themselves. It is a fully featured keyboard with 16 function keys, a full numeric keypad, control keys as well as navigation keys for quick orientation in...

Apple Wireless keyboard review

Apple's own Bluetooth keyboard is a good choice for any iOS device when an external keyboard is needed

Low profile; lightweight; portable; Apple function keys; instant pairing; chiclet keys; great brushed-aluminium styling

Some function keys missing; no carry case; no numeric keypad; could be too cramped for some users; no dock for iOS devices

As a portable option that makes typing more comfortable, Apple’s own Bluetooth keyboard beautifully complements any iOS device. You would need an additional case or stand for your iPhone or iPad to make typing truly convenient, but Apple’s offering is...

Wireless Keyboard review

We take a look at Apple's Wireless Keyboard - suitable for both the Mac and the iPad

Compact, lightweight design; useful function keys; works with iPad too

Too small for some people; no numeric keypad

However, it’s less suited for use in an office environment – many people simply find it too compact to type on rapidly. It doesn’t have a proper numeric keypad either, so it’s not much use if your work involves a lot of number crunching.

Apple Keyboard

With the launch of the aluminium iMac range came a new keyboard. Does that, in its own right, warrant a £30 spend?

Vastly improved ergonomics, dedicated OS X function keys (dashboard, expose, iTunes shuttle controls), tactile response, should stay cleaner than the old white keyboard

USB power through keyboard only applies to new iMacs, no Exposé All Windows button, some function commands are different

Using the new keyboard is a vastly different experience to the old model. It takes time to get used to, and we admit to not being comfortable with it for the first few hours. However, moving back to the old keyboard felt spongy after using the new...
