Follow up Review

My reception issue was cleared right up by taping the receiver to the top of my TV and running a USB extension cable. Such a cable really should be included but sadly isn't. On the plus side it actually looks kind of sharp up there.

Great keyboard and mouse

Should have come with a USB extension cable

Pros outweigh the cons

I will update in the future.

Keys are very quiet, which is what I wanted ; Shortcut keys; most I won't use, but the calculator, for example, comes in handy ; Volume wheel and mute button ; Tabs to elevate the keyboard ; Sleep button ; Takes AAs, not AAAs ; Keys can be popped off...

No off switch on keyboard (the mouse has one however) ; Mouse feels small and cheap ; My keyboard is WOBBLY with or without tabs! ANNOYING ; Caps/Num/Scroll/battery indicator cannot be "always on top" and is not a tray icon either... just an ugly box...

Good

I still gave it 4 starts because these are excellent items. I'm just the lucky one who gets the defects. cry lol

Nice keyboard and mouse when they work

I bought 3 keyboards and 3 mouses. 1 mouse did not work ; Since these came packed together I had to ship the working keyboard back just to get a mouse that worked

Solid Keyboard and Mouse, OK Reception

For use with a media center pc, this is a great keyboard and mouse. Despite the reception issue, I highly recommend this keyboard and at Newegg's price its a steal.

Both the keyboard and mouse are of sturdy construction, the keyboard is very this yet has almost no flex when picked up by a corner. The batteries are easily accessible for each. Laser mouse tracks wonderfully on all varieties of surfaces. Physical...

Reception is slightly better than "meh" but it depends greatly upon the amount of matter between the keyboard/mouse and receiver. The signal is strong enough to penetrate a midsized tower lengthwise and about eight feet of air without issue (where it...

Amazing

Could be better with the interface but other than that it is great!

Its great. Amazing responce time etc

There are a few cons. When comp is on you cant select some features on bootup since its wireless and drivers havnt loaded yet. Also there is no LED that i have discovered for Caps Lock Num Lock etc. There is however a window on ur screen that shows...

Best I've ever owned.

Best I've ever owned. I will continue to purchase more and recommend this keyboard until the cons have been resolved because this the best ratio of price to quality and functionality.

Great response/distance, slim design, quiet and low profile keys, functional media keys and a volume dial which I don't know how we've went so long without it. The mouse also has great response, is compact and lightweight. People who rest their palms...

Key length, width and layout are obsolete. This keyboard could be far more compact if they designed it with laptop users in mind. Additional dials or knobs that can be linked to popular software would be nothing but benefical. Lastly, this keyboard...

Mediocre

I bought this for use on my couch. Fail. Should've looked harder and spent more.

Volume control works (running win7 64bit). Keyboard is of decent size with good standard layout. Might be good for carrying in certain bags where flat keyboard and small mouse make a difference

Keys are not tall enough. Key feel could be worse, but could be much much better. Mouse is entirely too small. Mouse works intermittently at 6' from receiver (plugged into top front usb port on tower), though keyboard is fine at this range

Gigabyte should stick to what it does best...

I love Gigabyte--motherboards, graphics cards, etc. But they are clueless when it comes to making keyboards/mice. Stick to Logitech or (shudder!) Microsoft. There's a reason they're #1 and #2 in keyboards and mice. I have RMA'd this thing faster than...

Well, it's pretty and it's compact for a full-sized keyboard

1. The keys on this keyboard are made of a plastic that seems to have the same properties as Teflon. It is the MOST SLIPPERY surface ever concocted. Your fingers simply glide off the keys. No joke! Good for keeping dirt off, I guess, but a nightmare to...

Great Keyboard

For the price this was the best option for me. I went to a well known electronics chain store and bought a bluetooth keyboard for 75 dollars and returned it. It was too expensive and a pain to connect. Not to mention the volume buttons where on the...

Slim design, Volume control wheel is on the right side (same side as my mouse for ease of use), Quietness of the keys when typing, well placed hot keys, Virtual status bar telling you if the lock/caps button are on/off, extremely easy to connect/ just...

the mouse provided is useless unless you need a 3 button mouse, hot keys are not programmable, receiver is not a micro receiver and is rather long so it sticks out, but it's not a big deal to me

Good purchase!

So far, I haven't had any problems whatsoever. I've been using this keyboard/mouse combo in both Linux and Windows and have been fully satisfied!

The keys feel good to the touch, they're responsive, and the slimness of the keyboard is great. I've always liked Asus products and I'm more than happy I bought this. The multimedia controls are awesome

The mouse is a bit smaller than what I'm used to, but it's not a bad thing at all. It works wonderfully
