Roccat Ryos MK Pro review

The Ryos MK Pro is an expensive but hugely customisable keyboard for keen gamers

At £140, the Ryos MK Pro is very expensive, even for a gaming keyboard. Its main rival at this price is the

Roccat Ryos MK Pro Cherry MX Red Mechanical Keyboard Review

Robust build quality, Great customisation software, Massive internal memory and powerful built-in processors, Full N-Key rollover, High quality braided cable, with USB and audio pass through, LED back lighting timers and delays, Choice of Cherry MX...

No key cap removal tool included, No dedicated media keys, Maybe to large for some peoples workspace

There is no easy way around this part, the Ryos MX Pro is expensive, its in the upper price range for mechanical keyboards and as the flagship model for Roccat, you can’t really expect it to be budget friendly. Here in the UK the keyboard will set you...

Roccat Ryos MK Pro Keyboard Review

Today we are taking a closer look at the ROCCAT Ryos MK Pro Mechanical Gaming Keyboard. With a choice of different switches, per-key lighting and two 32-bit ARM Cortex processors it is clear to see RO...

Sturdy and strong build ; Variety of Cherry MX Switches ; Per-key lighting works well ; Extra USB ports, audio jack and mic jack ; N-key rollover ; Non smudge glossy surface maintains a sleek look

Wrist rest can feel too big and is not detachable ; No method of securing cables in the cable channels

KitGuru says: A strong keyboard with immense potential for customisation.

Roccat Ryos MK Pro gaming keyboard

A mechanical keyboard experience at a price.

Carries over the sturdy and comfortable Isku FX design ; Mechanical keys are a significant improvement over membrane

Retains non-removable wrist rest and Easy Shift [+] key from Isku FX ; RGB LEDs replaced with blue ones ; High price

The addition of mechanic keys helps elevate the Ryos MK Pro over its Isku FX predecessor. Some of the design changes, as well as the high price, limit its appeal somewhat.

Roccat Ryos MK Pro

The Ryos MK Pro is Roccat's first mechanical gaming keyboard, and this top-of-the-line model is packed with features.

Mechanical keyboard. Has choice of four key switch styles. Individually backlit keys. Smudge-reducing finish. Dozens of programmable options. Customizable lighting modes. Built-in USB and audio pass-through connections.

Blue is your only choice for backlight. Built-in wrist rest is bulky, can't be removed.

Conclusion Being Roccat's first mechanical keyboard, I have to say I'm impressed. The switch from the silicone dome switches used on the Roccat Isku to the mechanical switches used on the Ryos MK Pro is a significant improvement on its own, but the...

Expert Review

Four versions available, with different Cherry MX switches, Can host two macros on each key, thanks to Easy-Shift[+] feature, Extremely flexible key-backlighting controls

Quite pricey, even for a mechanical keyboard, USB ports are 2.0, not 3.0

Because the Ryos MK Pro costs such a sizable sum for a keyboard, we highly suggest trying it before putting down your dough. If that’s not an option, then at least buy from someplace that has a good (read: no-fee) return policy. When spending $170 can...
