Acer Aspire S 13

It's light at just 1.36kg, although its plastic shell does an awful lot to contribute. It looks great, though, available in both black and white with a stylish, textured lid and nicely finished keyboard tray.

Acer Aspire S 13 review

A ton of power in a small package

High performance and decent battery life ; Low price ; Non-reflective touchscreen

Exterior feels a little cheap

The Acer Aspire S 13 takes direct aim at Apple and offers a fantastically featured 13-inch laptop that doesn't break your bank.

Acer Aspire S13 review: Slim and savvily priced

The Acer S13 is a response to the complaint that nice laptops are just too bloomin' expensive. Not everyone can afford to splash out £1,000 on a computer, and Apple's cheapest Air laptops haven't been meaningfully updated in years. The Acer S13 has no...

Bright and colourful screen, slim and light, good build quality for the price, long-lasting battery

Slight colour skew to display, trackpad is slightly annoying, plastic lid and underside

The Acer S13 has no major flaws other than a trackpad that may well get on your nerves for the first week or so. It's otherwise a terrific laptops that has everything you need in a portable computer - and all for an affordable price.

Acer Aspire S 13 review

Technically, you can buy an Acer Aspire S13 in the United States for just $580, and the laptop typically comes in black.

Acer's Aspire S13 has a touchscreen that resists glare, a thin, light body that resists fingerprints and more solid-state storage than the competition -- plus a fast Intel Core processor, impressive audio and exceptional battery life.

This 13-inch Acer is saddled with a stiff, shallow keyboard, and the touchpad's poor palm rejection means the cursor jumps around in documents. Uneven keyboard backlighting and a thick screen bezel detract from the appeal.

This Acer Aspire S13 isn't the most inspiring thin notebook, but it's a remarkably practical and cost-effective choice.

Acer S 13 S5-371 review

The Acer S 13 combines good keyboard quality, excellent battery life, a good screen and Intel's Core i-series processors, which makes it a very good deal at this price. Here's our Acer S 13 S5-371 review

Windows is back with a bang this year. Laptops like the Acer S 13 offer a low-cost alternative to Apple machines, with comparable stamina and portability at a little over half the price. Typical of Acer, the look is a little quirky, and we imagine some...

Acer Aspire S 13 review: Wonderfully lightweight

Super-light and with great battery life, the Acer Aspire S 13 is almost the complete package

Tactile keyboard ; Super lightweight ; long-lasting battery life

Middling performance ; Mediocre screen ; Cheap design

Acer Aspire S13 hands-on review

The latest addition to the Aspire range of ultraportable laptops is a MacBook Air rival at a much lower price point and up to Core i7 processor. Here is the new Acer Aspire S13.

If you’re not too put of by the flimsy plastic lid, the Acer Aspire S13 is a decent choice for an ultraportable laptop. It’s thinner and lighter than a MacBook Air (just) with competent specs although the starting price won’t be breaking any benchmarks...

Acer Aspire S 13 review

  (Rating Hidden)

Acer claims the Aspire S 13 laptop has 'a leaner body with more stamina'. That's a good start for a portable laptop, but it also needs a lengthy battery life and fast processor to really impress. We've tested the Acer Aspire S 13 to see whether its...

Acer Aspire S 13 (2016) review

The Acer Aspire S 13 is a well-rounded laptop that falls just short of the very best.

Acer Aspire S 13 is a competent execution of the affordable ultrabook formula many manufacturers now use. It has a nice 1080p display, strong Core i5 processor, and lightweight design, all for an affordable $750 price of entry. It’s a perfectly...

Acer Aspire S13 review: An affordable, fingerprint-resistant MacBook Air alternative

For the price, the Acer Aspire S13 offers a surprising amount of battery life and solid-state storage in its slim, oleophobic white chassis.
