Acer Aspire TimelineX 1830T review

Overall, we like the Aspire TimelineX 1830T for its small size and excellent mobility, but due to this it is a little uncomfortable to use. Its keyboard isn't great and its touchpad is small, but in time you will probably get used to them. We think...

Acer Aspire TimelineX 1830T Review

With the TimelineX 1830T, Acer continues its line of powerful and small ultraportables. This machine looks good and offers excellent performance and nearly 6 hours of endurance. However, $699 is nothing to sneeze at. Those on a budget will likely...

Strong performance, Good graphics, Comfortable keyboard, HDMI output

A little pricey, Mediocre webcam, Small touchpad

Review Acer Aspire 1830T Subnotebook

Energy Drink. Peeved because your netbook is too slow? Acer has the solution: Simply take Core i5! Small 12 inch size, less than 1.4 kilograms and five hour mobility. We'll demonstrate the abilities of the smallest Timeline X for 800 euro.

Low weight of 1.36 kg, Good performance, Good battery life, Low power consumption, Low system noise, SPDIF-out, Good subnotebook performance in a small size at an attractive price. There aren't any similarly strong 11.6 inchers for less than 800 euro

Display not AR coated, Treble-prone sound, Good input devices and an AR coated display would have made the consumer 1830T to an inexpensive alternative in comparison to pro-subnotebooks, like the HP EliteBook 2540p (1500 euro)

It looks like a netbook, but the TimelineX packs the power of a full-size notebook. Road warriors who value light weight and a small size will bond with this tiny powerhouse.

Compact, Excellent battery life, Good performance, Sharp, bright screen

Poor 3D performance, Tiny touch pad

Acer Aspire TimelineX 1830T

Extremely portable yet powerful, excellent battery life., A very fast 11.6" notebook, one of the fastest currently on the market. Attractive, light and fairly thin. Very good battery life, runs cool, quiet fan. Plenty of ports including HDMI. Large...

Not cheap, tiny trackpad., Acer's flat keyboard may not suit those who favor island style keyboards, trackpad is small and it's easy to wander off its edges

The Acer TimelineX 1830T is our top pick among subnotebooks. It doesn't compromise power or battery life and it has a good set of ports that outnumber the competition. We're impressed with the specs on the 1830T, and they beat out the competition in...
