Good clear keyboard, lots of times faster than my previous Aspire (5yo).

Only 1 of the USB ports is USB 3. It needs 2 hands to open the lid one on the lid the other to hold the computer.

Awesome for the price

So why does this still get 5 stars if it has Cons? Because it's an amazing piece of equipment for nearly everyone on a budget. If you're a parent and looking to get your kid a nice laptop that will take them all the way through college without slowing...

Perfect set of components for the price. Decent processor, decent graphics card, and decent RAM all make this computer shine right out of the box. the design of the laptop itself visually is "ok." You cannot get a more powerful laptop for this price...

The speakers are a bit tinny. It is loud enough for sure, but there's a hollowness to the sound I'm not particularly fond of. The trackpad is improved over the last acer model I purchased though still not amazing. The keyboard has a cheap feeling along...

Best bang for the buck

it costs <$700 ; It has a 2GB graphics card ; It has a decent battery, I can take notes in a 4 hour class without having to worry about finding a plug ; Runs quiet, I never hear the fan even after hours of gaming ; Runs Cool, on top of my aluminium...

None that I care about but ; No Optical drive. I persoanlly didn't even notice until owning it for 2 months and then only after reading a review ; No Backlit keyboard. I wouldn't expect that at this price point and I use an external keyboard that's...

So far, So Good

It's a decent budget mid-level laptop and would recommend it to others.

Light simple design, boot time is fast, runs cool, and is whisper quiet

Surprisingly, it's a bit of a fingerprint magnet for this color and style. Also, someone else commented that the the aluminum skin on the back of the screen is thin and I concur. Here's hoping a carbon laptop skin will provide some protection from...

Nice specs. Cheap design.

There's an empty bay and a removable cover where the optical drive goes. I believe a different model has an optical drive in it. This laptop really lacks in design, but makes up for with performance. For the price, it's a great laptop.

Price ; Very Quite ; Intel Core i5-4200U ; 2GB AMD Radeon R7 M256 ; Built-in speakers produce fantastic sound ; Decent battery life

Not too many cons in my opinion. You can't go wrong with an Intel i5 processor and a discrete AMD card for this price. However ; The design is bland ; The lack of a back-lit keyboard isn't necessarily a con, but it would've been a nice feature ;...

Acer V5-561G-6407

Boots extremely fast ; Amd R7 265 is responsive and good for low to mid level gaming ; the i5-4200u has a slower clock speed then the last generation of i5s but has a little more processing power then the old 2.4 ghz model

comes with windows 8.1 ; the track pad is complete garbage, if you buy this labtop make sure you have a extra mouse
