Acer Aspire VX 15 gaming laptop review

The Aspire VX 15 is a budget laptop with all the style and grace of a 90's boom box.

Acer Aspire VX 15 VX5-591G (7300HQ, GTX 1050, Full HD) Laptop Review

Inexpensive gamer. Acer's inexpensive gaming notebook displays all the latest computer games smoothly. The device is available for just under £800 (~$1035) in the UK. It is equipped with a Kaby Lake quad-core processor, a GeForce GTX 1050 GPU and both...

matte IPS display ; Full HD resolution ; SSD+HDD ; works quietly

slow card reader ; no maintenance hatch

Acer's entry-level gamer comes at a price of £799.99 (~$1035). In exchange, you get a 15.6-inch notebook with a strong Kaby Lake quad-core processor and a GeForce GTX 1050 graphics processor. The hardware displays all the latest computer games smoothly...

Acer Aspire VX5-591G (7700HQ, FHD, GTX 1050 Ti) Laptop Review

Limited fun. Actually, Acer's new multimedia laptop designed for gaming is convincing in most aspects - only that the conventional hard drive does not really match to the high-performance technology and it really slowed things down in the test. We...

countless versions ; solid casing ; good to very good Wi-Fi speeds ; overall decent screen ; fast 8-thread CPU ; quiet in idle and load

relatively big and heavy ; sluggish card reader ; no maintenance hatch ; battery cannot be removed from the outside ; limited color-space coverage ; no SSD, no SSD, no SSD

Unspectacular but rock-solid - Acer has done a good job with its new VX5-591G-75C4.Except for the fast processor, most components are situated in the upper mid-range and thus correspond to the price of 1000 Euros (~$1061) for the tested version and...

Acer Aspire VX5-591G (VX 15) Notebook Preview

More bang for your buck? Acer slips in a completely new device somewhere between Aspire, Nitro, and Predator. The new Aspire VX is equipped with the GTX 1050 Ti GPU as well as the new i7-7700HQ CPU and represents Acer's entry-level gaming model.

Our first impression of the new Acer Aspire VX5-591G aka VX 15 is very promising. Despite its low entry-level price under 1,000 Euros, the notebook offers a well-built and solid chassis with an appealing design. You get all essential ports with a good...

Acer Aspire VX 15: A budget gaming gem

There are a couple shortcomings, but they're outweighed by the rest of the package and an enjoyable gaming experience.

The Acer Aspire VX 15 is an attractive budget-friendly gaming laptop that's well configured for the money. You can easily add more memory and storage. It has an ample port assortment, including USB 3.1 Type-C.

The display is a little disappointing despite being an IPS panel. The base model has a smallish 256GB SSD that's filled with preinstalled software and apps.

With good specs at an even better price, the Acer Aspire VX 15 delivers respectable gaming performance that won't leave you feeling like you compromised.

Good build quality and design;Long battery life;Excellent price/performance ratio thanks to the latest generation Intel CPUs and the NVIDIA Pascal GPU;Supports M.2 SATA and NVMe SSD;IPS screen with good contrast and viewing angles

The display uses PWM from 0 to 99% screen brightness (the Health-Guard profile fixes that); There’s noticeable heat dispersion across the surface during a stress test
