The Acer Chromebook Spin 513 is a perfectly competent Chromebook

Decent battery life ; Versatile form factor ; Quiet in operation

Mid-range performance ; Cheap trackpad feel ; No memory card slot

The Acer Chromebook Spin 513 gives you more or less what you would expect for the price: a decently performing Chromebook that's lightweight and quiet. The key selling points to note are very good battery life and a screen that folds all the way back.

Despite obvious limitations, this Chromebook has some great touches that you won't find in laptops twice the price. So what does it get wrong?

Unusually good touchpad ; Reserved but stylish design ; Solid and comfortable keyboard ; (Mostly) Good 1080p IPS screen

Slow storage ; Poor performance with 3D gaming ; Limited maximum brightness ; Weak speakers

This Chromebook's phone-like Snapdragon processor doesn't bring the performance boost we hoped for, but a solid keyboard, touchpad, and screen combiation all help to make this a satisfying Chromebook.
