Alienware M14x and M18x laptop review

Alienware sent T3 two of its powerful gaming laptops - the M14x and M18x. Not only were they specced out to the max, the laptops were also powerful enough to engineer a moon landing without breaking a sweat.

Incredible performance ; Comfortable gaming experience ; Stunning keyboard

We can't afford one ; Chunky and quirky design ; No Blu-ray drives as standard

If you have cash to burn and need a high-performance gaming portable, these new Alienwares won't disappoint. We prefer the M14x as it offers greater portability and value for money.

Alienware M14x review

We moved onto DirectX11 and STALKER: Call of Pripyat. We ran the benchmark at 1280 x 720 and a medium detail level which the M14x sailed through at an average frame rate of 109fps crying out for something more challenging.

Although the M14x looks the same as its predecessor – and still looks cool – it’s what's on the inside that counts here. For your hard-earned pounds, this Alienware offers high levels of gaming performance and plenty of connectivity inside a portable...

Dell Alienware M14x review

Dell's Alienware laptops are known for their powerful components and individual looks. The new M14x is no exception, with its angular chassis, black rubberised finish and LED mood lighting. Whether or not you like the design, you're sure to be...

A no-compromise gaming powerhouse squeezed into a very compact 14in chassis; it’s expensive, but if you refuse to sacrifice performance for portability there’s simply no better alternative

Alienware M14x Gaming Notebook Review

Not that long ago there was a relatively long list of “boutique” PC manufacturers like Voodoo, Hypersonic, Falcon Northwest and Alienware but after

Before Alienware waded onto the scene, many believed gaming notebooks needed to be big, overweight bricks that were anything but portable.

Alienware M14x

The Alienware M14x could be the ideal gaming laptop for lots of people – it sits in the middle of the company's range, is packed with power yet is still just about small and light enough to take with you when you go out. Does it live up to its early...

The Alienware M14x is a stunning machine: It's comfortable, well made and features a great design. It's also packed with features, and is more than powerful for most users. As a laptop for high-end graphics work, it'd be a great choice. Not so for...

Dell Alienware M14x notebook Review

Dell's Alienware series of gaming rigs have been a favourite amongst gamers for years, and it's only recently that other companies

The M14x that we received will set you back a whopping Rs.1,19,000, which is nearly the same as the Asus G74SX. You may argue that the high price is for the small form factor and portability, but the fact is that it’s just too heavy to be truly...
