MacBook Pro 13-inch (2018): A perfect choice for creatives

The 2018 MacBook Pro 13-inch has one of the best displays on the market and is a perfect laptop for creatives and powerusers

Best-in-class Retina display ; High quality build and design ; Thunderbolt 3 ports

Cramped and uncomfortable keyboard ; Touchpad depresses awkwardly ; Port options are Thunderbolt, buy an adapter, or go home ; Expensive

The MacBook Pro 2018’s powerful display and top performance make it a perfect choice for creative types. But the high price and fact that you’ll need to buy adapters if you want more than just Thunderbolt ports, will put off some more casual buyers.

Without the quad-core beef of its stable mates, can the miniest MacBook Pro still tempt?

Apple MacBook Pro 13in 2011 Review

Arguably the perfect MacBook, if you can resist its big brothers' quad-core processors

It's terribly easy for your eye to stray from this 13in MacBook Pro to the others on Apple’s webstore. The 15in and 17in versions flaunt their quad-core processors and AMD graphics switching in such a

Apple MacBook Pro 13-inch Retina 2012

The 13-inch MacBook Pro boasts a lighter, slimmer design and a high resolution display but demands a truck load of cash for it

Stunning, super high definition screen; slimmer and lighter than previous model; sturdy build quality.

Ludicrously expensive; performance is only average; no Ethernet port; no option to upgrade RAM.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro boasts a superb high-resolution display and a slimmer, lighter physical design than its predecessor. Sadly, its average performance doesn't justify the astonishingly high price.

Apple MacBook Pro 13in (Late 2011) review

Apple's MacBook Pro 13in (Late 2011) is available in two versions, at £999 or £1299. We test the top model with Core i7 processor running at 2.8GHz.

The Apple MacBook Pro 13in (Late 2011) looks great and offers the level of performance that you'd expect from an Apple device. Boot Camp means that you can install Windows 7 alongside Mac OS X 10.7 Lion, although you'll need to buy Windows first (from...

A very desirable laptop, but it's too expensive for most consumers and not highly-specified enough for multimedia work on the go.

Apple MacBook Pro 13in (Mid 2010) review

Now remedied with updated drivers, the Apple MacBook Pro produced a WorldBench 6 score of exactly 100 points, so it has comparable performance to PC World Labs' reference desktop machine, with 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo E6600, nVidia 7900GS graphics and...

You can save half a kilo on the 15in version with the 13in Apple MacBook Pro, although last season’s CPU and integrated graphics means you lose the faster performance. Yet the baby MacBook Pro still offers build quality, attention to detail and...

Apple MacBook Pro 13in Core i5 laptop

Review Guilty, your honour. In mitigation, I would like to assure the jury that I do not automatically adore everything with Apple branding on it, nor have I any intention of jacking off over a Steve Jobs biography. I just happen to like the current...

Here’s what I don’t like about the latest 13in MacBook Pro: it’s so very, very expensive. I can forgive the shared-memory graphics and the lack of USB ports, perhaps also the fairly average processor performance, and I could even get used to the small...
