Asus M50SV review

The M50Sv is packed with an impressive array of sockets and wireless options. It has four USB2 ports, one of which doubles as an eSATA port for connecting external storage devices without suffering the performance bottleneck that USB can cause.

Asus M50SV-AS030G laptop PC

If you're after a portable laptop, but don't want to compromise on processing power, then the Asus M50SV-AS030G is the machine for you.

The Asus M50SV-AS030G is blazingly fast for a portable machine and Asus has mostly employed high spec components, but it can't always make the most of them. With an asking price of £1,149 it's a little on the high side, but it's not exorbitant when you...

Multimedia out of the box

With the super specifications of the Asus M50, it is difficult not to be impressed.

Good performance ; very good build quality ; generous software and hardware bundle

Sound could be louder

If you can pay the RM4,588 for the M50, then you can't really go far wrong with it... as long as you connect it up to a pair of better speakers if you intend to use it as a portable media centre.

ASUS M50VM-AS001G

A heavy device that packs a strong kick.

Good performance, excellent expandability options, relatively good graphics card

Heavy, no Blu-ray

This is a powerful mid-range all-purpose notebook that is well worth looking at, as long as you can stand carting around a 3kg laptop.

Review: Asus M50Vm-B4

A desktop replacement in the body of a midrange PC, complete with high-end goodies like HDMI, eSATA and even a 10-key number pad. It performs...

Second-best performance in its class after the MacBook Pro. Roomy keyboard. Swiveling webcam can point at the user or out into the world

Autodimmer makes the screen look a little dark in some light situations. Battery life is a middling 1.5 hours

Review Asus M50V Notebook

Multimedia Talent from Asus. Even after the manufacturer Asus had

Very good and robust workmanship; Ample port connections with a user-friendly arrangement; Blu-Ray drive; Pivotable webcam with an integrated array microphone; Very low surface temperatures; Dual-Mode function of the touchpad

Very high reflective display; Loud cooling under load; Mediocre distribution of the display brightness

The Asus M50V is primarily to be recommended for multimedia users who set value on a compact case which has a clearly arranged display and also plan to often carry their notebook from A to B. Due to the carrying case included in the range of delivery,...
