Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 review

The Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 is due to launch in the UK in August, costing around £400. And our Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 review shows that this Android tablet is well worth the wait.

The Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 takes over from its predecessor as the top Android tablet available. You get high performance mixed with high style, and you don't have to make a lot of sacrifices to get both. Other tablets - including the...

Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 lives up to its potential

The Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 improves on the Prime, making a strong case for premium Android tablets.

The ; 's high-resolution screen rivals the new iPad's display in sharpness and clarity. Also, apps launch quickly, GPS works well, and its rear camera is the best I've seen on any Android tablet. The tablet's body has the same great thin and light...

So far, not enough Android apps take advantage of the TF700's higher pixel count and the Tegra 3 has trouble keeping up with newer games. Also, its battery life isn't as good as the Prime's.

The Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 combines an already proven design with a better camera, a faster processor, and a beautiful screen.

Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700

The Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 is the best Android tablet money can buy, with an incredibly bright and sharp high-resolution display and blazing fast quad-core processor, but there just aren't enough apps.

Incredibly bright and sharp screen. Thin and light aluminum body. Blazing fast quad-core Tegra 3 processor

Dearth of apps that take advantage of the screen

The New Apple iPad ($499, 4.5 stars) started the resolution race, and it looks like Asus is the first to market with an Android contender—the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 ($499/32GB, $599/64GB). We first heard about this tablet back at Mobile...

EDITORS' CHOICE!

Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700

Here in 2012, the tablet market has been getting increasingly complicated for buyers. Not long ago, your main choices for a non-Windows-based tablet were either an Apple iPad, or one of myriad Android offerings in 7-inch or 10-inch screen sizes, with...

Best-looking screen we've seen in a tablet (barring 2012 iPad) ; Tegra chip keeps performance snappy, despite high-resolution screen ; Compatible with Transformer Prime's keyboard dock

Proprietary dock/charge connector ; Dock required to gain USB port, full-size SD-card slot

With the best screen we've seen outside an iPad, plus cutting-edge Nvidia internals and solid build quality, the Infinity is the best Android tablet we've tested. You'll definitely appreciate it if you see it with your own eyes.
